and their going to get more I just found out this
On the Vodafone network your handset is automatically setup to ring for 20s before connecting to our voiceMail service.
If you are an On Account customer you can extend this up to a maximum of 30s.
*
* * 61 * 021700100*11*(entire the time in secs) # SEND.
Prepaid customers are unable to change this setting.
how can on account be changed but not prepay????? and set to 20s thats crazy in reality it rings for like 10 sec before going to voicemail. aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Apparently frankthetank's K850i was buggy at least before he updated it. I would assume not everyone will know to update it though.
Yeah you're probably right though, they probably only ordered a small shipment.
Yes I can confirm that the firmware it came with out of the box had camera driver issues with flash pictures. Even the one I updated to is still 2 updates behind the generic firmware releases so they had better catch up soon - as the one I'm on is the one people seem to have had the biggest problems with lol!
BLUE RING OF DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM etc...

http://www.geocities.jp/minerva4096/#aft
it can transfer any file to another custom firmware psp and the other psp can run it using remote play.
The website is in japanese but the program is in engrish (yes engrish, if the wlan switch is off it says please turn on the switch of wlan )

Best ad: Cadbury gorilla
Worst ad: Toyota lost keys

Well I thought the Lost keys ad was better than the Gorilla ad which made no sense, but I'm sure Phil Collins will disagree. That song 'In the Air Tonight' is a classic for sure.
Got this download speed tonight on my V640i which is back from repair (more on that soon...)
This is the best speed I've ever had at home and its down to the advice here. I installed and ran CCleaner and also DAP and got a 25% increase in download speed and the upload speed is a little faster too I think. Can't wait to try it at Uni tommorrow.
Edit: BTW, Vodafone have quietly launched a new service called MusicStation which may be a New Zealand version of the RadioDJ service it announced in Jan 2006 in collaboration with Sony.
It looks quite cool really. For $2.50 per week you subcribe to a 3G audio service which downloads music to your phone (dependant on the size of your M2 card) and you choose the playlist. You can even send and recieve playlists with your friends. No doubt there is the ability to link to the Vodafone Music site to buy tracks you like. More info here. I think I might be into this, I'll check it out over the weekend when I intend to make some changes to my On Account Plan.
One more thing - G502 now available in Vodafone stores for $299

Sounds interesting, 'kitter. Not something I would use but it would be cool to find out more about it!
Yeah I saw the G502 about a week ago. It looks really nice in both colours. I didn't expect Vodafone to have in both colours but I was wrong!

this post comes to you courtesy of my new iPhone 3G!
I couldn't resist. The amount I save on my monthly plan pays for an 8GB and then some.

Wow congrats carkitter! Any chance of a few photos of your new baby?
Did you score yourself a pretty decent deal or did you opt for one of the pre-made iPhone dealies?
How is it? I bet you're loving the Safari browser.

Actually, Safari is what I'm struggling with the most. I tried writing a reply earlier but gave up and have reverted to Laptop & V640i for the time being. The online guide is pretty useless and I can see me visiting the 3GiPhone thread for advice. Unlike SE phones, the iPhone will fully operate without a SIM card, so the temptation will be to leave the SIM in the V640i and use both (iPhone for wifi, V640i for modem) at least until I come to grips with the hidden shortcuts and settings.
iTunes is a pain in the butt. It's good for music playback but for synching it really blows.
Got my 8GB iPhone for $699 on a iPhone40 24 month plan plus $29 for a Belkin silicon case and screen protector. Anyway, here it is:
