Appearantly, the SE K700 is equipped with something called "ZOOMON SVG Player". However, that's not mentioned in the first edition of the "SE K700 White Paper" (2004-02-27 version R1A).
For further information, take a look at Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) and ZOOMON Press Release - ZOOMON's SVG Player Embedded in Sony Ericsson K700 Mobile Phone.
Which applications in the K700 make use of this player? Is it integrated with or part of the phones built in media player?

@Universal Exports: There are a couple of available but nonworking trythephone-pages for a bunch of other SE phones as well: P800, P900, T200, T230, T300, T310, T610, T630, Z200, Z600 and Z1010. Furthermore, there are a couple of unavailable trythephone-pages for some additional SE phones: T100, T105, T616, Z500 and S700.
I'm not sure what conclusion to draw from that, but it seems as if the trythephone-functionality was never carried out, bearing the incompleteness in mind.
But on the contrary, why does SE leave these unfinished pages visible to the public? The nonworking pages has been around for quite some time by now. Somewhat strange.
It would be very nice to be able to try all the different phones out online, especially the new ones. And preferably as far ahead of the first delivery as possible, to satisfy ones curiosity...

Has anyone in the UK pre-ordered the phone yet? Only a month to go before it is released with a price of around £330. A pretty fair price considering the t630 is still over £200 and this will knock the pants off it.

About the JBenchmark 2.0 result for the Nokia 6230: It is based on a display/screen size of 128x96 pixels while the result for the SE K700 and K700i is based on a display/screen size of 176x176 pixels.
That's maybe one of the reasons for the different results. A bigger display/screen will most certainly slow things down a bit.
I notice that the K700 and K700i have performed different, and thus gained different results, with the K700 having a bit lower result than the K700i. Why is that? What is the major difference(s) between the K700 and K700i that might affect the results?
And why is the JBenchmark 2.0 results for the K700 and K700i based on a display/screen size of 176x176 pixels, when it really is 176x220 pixels?
For further information, have a look at JBenchmark result database.

what is the difference between the k700 and the k700i? Does the k700i have extra functions/features, or is it to do with gsm networks, like the t610 and the t616?

K700 and K700i are one in the same.
The " i " means international.
There will be two versions, K700c and K700i
the " c " version changes for chinese language (version) |

AFAIK, there is no blue version just your regular brushed aluminum look.
It's probably just the lighting in that shot.

sorry to say but you are wrong... SE released the k700i in two colours, grey and blue, go back a few pages and you will be able to read about it.
can't wait till we have chips implanted in our brains and the size issue goes back to being something else. |

@STINGA, the S700, all i was able to find out is that it will be available in the market, early december 2004, will hit the stores just in time for xmas, also the K700, flash is not really a flash, all it is, a constant light, and does not perfor, like the MPF-10 flash accessory, so a constant light might be better or not for some users....
will keep u guys updated with any new information i receive..

The tests are based on 176*176 because JAVA doesn't work on full screen. Just like the T610, it has the screen size 128*160, but java only works on 128*128. |
