Help,

I think I messed up. I have a Dutch Vodafone K700i with all the Voda restrictions, problems and crap. Canīt dump it so need help. Allas the SE update service is not online so canīt try a firmware update. Would this work anyway? Want my MP3 ringtones back.....

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to get rid of this limiting and annoying branding. I travel quite a lot so maybe someone can help me elsware in the world??

Thanx

I started another thread ("Newbie trying to use FMA (Floats Mobile Agent") where I've gotten a few replies, but the discussion has since then been moved over to this thread....

Anyway, I'm not having much success with FMA. Is there any documentation around for it? I haven't been able to transfer any data between the phone and FMA yet, but I know the connection is OK (infra-red) because I've used it without any problems with the Sony Ericsson programs and a theme editor.

And I've set up FMA for infra-red. Using the "test" option it communicates and recognizes my Sony Ericsson T-310 as a T-300 (I guess this is what the phone calls itself as the same thing happens in other software).

So, how do I send the phone's contents over to the PC using FMA? I'd like to be able to store SMS messages (so I can archive them on the PC and read them there later as I don't have room for them all on the phone), phone-book and other things. I've understood that FMA can do this and more.

But how do I use it?

The buttons and the dropdown menu items are normally rather self explanatory.

First of all you have to connect the fMA and the phone, so look for Connect.

Then you have to synchronize information between the fMA and the phone, so look for Synchronize, Download and/or Upload.

Move the mouse pointer over the buttons, one at a time, and they will each display a short descriptive text, if you stay on them long enought.

Pull down the menues, and look at the available menu items.

The "connect phone" option rarely makes anything happen, but sometimes (I'm not sure when -if it's after I've tried to connect or when exiting") it gives me a dialog box with a progress bar saying "initializing".
This goes on forever and nothing happens, so after a few minutes I give up.

Obviously my phone (Sony Ericsson T-310) is recognized via the IR-adaptor as the "test" option in the setup for this shows "T-300" communicating with it.

So, what gives?

There must be something wrong with either your personal computer or your fMA installation if "The "connect phone" option rarely makes anything happen".

It should give you a dialog box with a progress bar saying "initializing", as it does, and then, after half a minute or something like that, it should connect.

What version of fMA do you use?

I've tried your fMA. That's a great software. I don't know if it can be used for talking using mic and speaker on our computer. Can it?

hi all,

i've make my simple software for SMS/Call/Monitoring available to public, it is designed with Bluetooth in mind, and does not depend on MPM (Great for those who have problem with MPM)

Feel free to check it out at http://www.eflame.com/fma, please forward your enquiries and comment to this thread.

btw, it's free and will always be in beta.

Cheers.

As GOwin wrote earlier: Have you tried a lower communication port (COM-port) connection speed? Next time, try a connection speed of 9600 baud or less.

Works for me. Sure you are updating/synching after deleting? That should do it.

Just to let all other S700i users that fMA connects pretty well with S700i.
No problems synchronizing contacts.
No major problem found yet.

Good news, huh? [addsig]
