Seems your battery drain is software related. A couple of pages back I reported that an XDA member reported the battery went up once FourSquare was uninstalled. Perhaps you should try that. You also reported that Picasa got stuck in some way. This could be a possible issue as well It is possible it constantly tries to reconnect or sync.
Perhaps you could try to restore the software of the phone and then just leave it as is without trying to sync your calendar, contacts etc for a while and see how it goes with the battery. |

Picasa sync problem is resolved so no prob here.
I don't use any auto sync and I've never used Foursquare.
After the night the value of deep sleep was 88%.
Now I just use my phone for 5 minutes and it's still 87%.
I guess it's exactly what you were asking about.....
I left only one weather widget on homescreen with very long auto update period, we'll see.

@doministry did you discharge your battery compleatly for once or twice?
I have battery problems with Ray even after 10 charges when others reported great battery life. Then I waith for full discharge followed by more than 8h charge cycle and battery life was doubled immediately.
I thought that was old unnecessary trick these days, but it works.
I have no idea about mistery draining, but it`s more often software or network related you know. |

Actually yes I did discharge it once by accident.
Maybe I'll try to discharge it completley than charge it for hours
I don't know...

I see Amazon UK have pushed back thier stock until 19th March. Hope this means it's not delayed again for the UK. |

Oh dear. I am thinking if Clove put it back to the 19th that I just go to phones4u and buy it simfree from them instead.

Yeah I'm hoping its just Amazon. O2 and Three both had them in stock, but I've pre ordered with Clove.
Had a quick play with the one in the Three shop; very slick, screen is stunning and I even didn't have any issues with the capacitive buttons.
Weight and size also surprised me: I didn't feel as heavy in the hand as I expected and wasn't too bulky. |

Do you know how I go about cancelling an order with Clove? I have looked everywhere on their site, and went into "my account", but cannot find any info on how to cancel?

I think you'll need to ring them. I've pre-ordered and to make matters worse, they've already charged my credit card (which I think is a bit cheeky). If they tell me on Monday it's delayed again, I will think about getting a refund.
O2 SIM free was 399, Three was 369, but bear-in-mind that you have to top up with 10 on each and then get it unlocked.
Phones4U didn't have any live demo phones.
I don't know what one Bono saw but the demo one I played with was silky smooth. |

Yes they charged me too when i had placed the order on the 16th Feb. Tried calling them earlier today but all i got was an answer machine. The only reason i am thinking of cancelling with Clove is i can get it right now sim-free from phones4u for 399. That's quite a saving compared to Clove, Handtec etc.

It was laggy. Anyway I have ordered stuff with Clove before and you have to call them and they I think send you a cancellation email with a link

Dibdin - I may do the same see what happens on Monday. 399 SIM free is very good, no sure if they would prioritise contract customers first or tell you it's not available yet SIM free, that's been my experience with those type of retailers. |

I asked if I could buy the white one sim-free when I was in phones4u earlier, and the assistant was quite happy to sell me one, though I held back because I have one on order with Clove. Though you could walk into another phones4u branch and be told something completely different.

My only concern is still the battery.
Otherwise it works great.
Has no lags.

Thats excellent doministry.
If there is one thing i havent heard about in Xperia S is any sort of lag, nobody (reviewers, users, demo etc...) have said anything about lag, seems Sony did a great job with software optimization in the Xperia S, i hope LG and HTC do the same in their new phones as their flagships last year had lag issues and even the single-core Arc out performed them at some points.
