I've got exactly the same problem missing files under Games and Apps after a master reset, and as I've already written too.
So i think there is a hardly reproducable but very serious file corruption bug with the phone.... (r1cb001)

@farkasg
No arguement with O2 when I phoned - I had expected there to be - came off phone, checked this forum and lo and behold - guess O2 know about it.
@MWarner - second this bug though it seems to be rare thankfully. |

Just had my first reboot on the new firmware. Reading email, following a link to a rather big web page, reading, closing browser, screen goes black, short burst of white, black, after a while back to standby screen, searching for network.
So, they did not fix that one, I guess...

Just flashed my K800i with the new firmware on Wotanserver.com. Everything went well, and im bloody happy with the new firmware.
*camera does actually seem to take clearer pictures with less noise, although i didn't think to take a photo before i flashed to verify this. The pictures i did take before seemed a bit 'fuzzy' - the photos taken with my old nokia n90 were better by an order of magnitude, but the new software seems to have cleared this up.

please post a few pics in different lighting using the new F/W

ok, one pic taken in natural light

next shot taken with incandescent lighting at night

last shot taken in a pitch black room

To be honest, once i uploaded them and saw them on a monitor im less impressed. Theyre definetly better than they were pre-flash, but still leave alot to be desired for a 3.2mp camera...

Can you note please on the front page that if you are listening to the radio with the new firmware and Remove the headphones it leaves the application open so when you plug your headphones back in it restarts. It did not do this in previous versions off the firmware

Without flaming, can you answer if this is really a major issue? Why not put the headphones that you want to use from the start? Am I missing something here?

Because say you were listening to radio and browsing wap you get a call they cant here you properly you pull the headset out once the call is finished its just hassle opening the app again. also it just shows how they are improving the multi tasking in newer versions which is significant

Okay. Do you consider this a bug or flaw or more of a wish, because surly you can agree that this is not a flaw in the functionality of the phone and radio.

Interesting. Thanks for the responses. In my opinion, I would consider this a frill more than anything else and not a show stopper. I could see this as a "wish list" item but nothing that I would go out of my way to spend much time coding for if I were an SE developer. However, it is the small things that sometimes matter.

It just shows to me how they are developing the multi tasking capabilites off their non symbian phones which i see as a step in the right direction

The phone already multi-tasks quite well. I do not know where you have the idea that it doesn't. Adding one more open application really does not prove this. I use my phone when I go running. I have the media player open, along with the time, I can stop and take picture, and do all of this while listening to music via BT(-970) headset. So multi-tasking has been covered quite well I would think.

I'd say that should be listed under the improvements section in the first post as its the closest thing to a changelog we have (and if we did have a changelog that would probably be listed). |
