Yep, i think taking it in would be your best bet Hobbs, maybe the sim port is faulty, mine hasnt rebooted once on 2.3.

Hell yeah they were super useful, what were they thinking? Or perhaps it's a gingerbread thing? I especially miss the calls list, such instant access should be on every phone IMHO

Agreed. That's why I'm still using it, missed calls widget is just a simple app (however I wasn't able to find something similiar in Android Market), which can be pulled from 2.1 ROM. Here it is http://www.mediafire.com/?h7kjfh2t00rh3ns .
As for the Web browser widget, I don't know which one is it, as I never used it, but there is a chance You can also pull it from 2.1 ROM. |

9hrs without a reboot.Powered on phone without sim,formatted my SD card,unchecked Automatic in Date and Time settings,switched off phone,inserted sim,powered on phone and for the strangest reason the reboots have disappeared.Very strange solution.

Thats great news Hobbs! Hope it stays like that, ive found 2.3 to be VERY stable, havent done a reboot since the day i updated, hope its the same for you now.

I have 4 folders set up in the bottom bar, "Talk", "Write", "Media" and "Tools" and each folder has multiple apps in it. I have the apps arranged in the order I like them, but from time to time they randomly rearrange themselves. Does anyone know why this happens and how to prevent it?

I also have 4 folders set up to, mine are Social, Web, Media and Tools respectively, my apps in the folders dont rearrange themselves though, maybe your X10 is unlocking itself while in your pocket?

Problem
I was giving a mate some banter for not upgrading his phone to 2.3 and so today he decided to do so. I told him that he would need to downloaded and use mybackup as the 2.1 back up app was not present after upgrade.
So he downloaded and installed mybackup and ran a backup, after which he was unable to click on settings as that was partially greyed out and said the application had failed.
So he rebooted the phone and the Settings Icon was not present upon power-up and if selected through the short cut, it said the application was not installed. Worse, all his contacts had gone and despite numerous attempts to instal from the memory card, they could not be returned.
Tonight, he has tried to update the phone through PC Companion and now he has on screen a ' ! ' inside a triangle when he switches the phone on.
Ideas please...... and quickly ? ? ? ? ? ? HELP !!!!!! |

2 things.
1 The original 2.1 backup application does work. Just reinstall it after updating to 2.3. The link can be found a few pages back.
2 That triangle with the exclamination mark in means hes really messed up his phone. Only thing to try is the Repair option in the Sony Ericsson pc companion application. If that doesnt work then i'm afraid its off to SE for repairs.
I tried sniffing coke once but didnt like it. The bubbles kept going up my nose  |

Has anyone had any luck installing Itv player on there X10? Android market on the mobile won'tlist it but desktop android. Says it'snot compatible for it dont get it I've got Android 2.33 |

okay so I repaired my X10 and everything seems to be working perfect. Loved the new music player but disappointed that it does not have a repeat option.
I want to know any special apps for 2.3.3 and how to do speech to text sms/e-mail etc. my keyboard does not get the option (microphone icon).
I think I'm going to stay with X10 for a long time. This phone may had a hard start but the journey has truly been exciting and great. Using 1.6 to 2.3 has truly made a different experience of using a phone
