Hey guys, honestly what is the big deal with 13mp? What size do you print pictures taken with your phone?
Also what is the resolution of your tv, i mean full hd is about 2mp, did not check but 4k may be 8mp max?
8mp sounds more than enough for a phone no? |

Cropped sections of 13MP pics will look better, you just have more of the picture to play with when editing.
Personally, I set mine to 9MP but it's always nice to have the 13MP option.

What would be great with pixel binning technology:
Be able to select the resolution when taking a shot, with presets that give you just the number of pixel you need for certain print sizes in 300 dpi, but maximising the usage of the sensor estate, so you can capture the max light possible.
You could be able to change it every picture as you can change the ISO.
You want to add a mm or two for cropping or the photograph paper cut? One small touch and get a little bit more pixels, a little bit smaller.
Sony, please consider building this kind of sensor tech, many thanks!

Very interesting and exciting theory there... If this is true, then I wouldn't be surprised if not only Samsung make a media version of the note like razec said, or a waterproof version like is obvious, but a similar touch one. This literally takes the fight to Samsung's well established turf. For a first attempt, just wow. At the start of the year, people said it's said every year that this is Sony's year. But this actually is Sony's year. |

I am just afraid samsung is reading it and planned 3 more size already for the 2014 16-core galaxy toast - the next hot thing is already here.
