SE back up and restore does worked for me, I was able to restore sms, call log, market apps.
For angry birds there are back ups available in Market.

I´ve been playing around with Wolfbreak´s 2.3 (XDA). However I´m used to his 2.2 Cyanogenmod (v009) with a custom kernel. It´s smoother and faster and I still prefer it over 2.3 prerooted. More options and settings that I like. In 2.3 I miss the 50fps uncapped frames (it´ll do 34 max. uncapped, thanks SE). Quadrant scores are around 1400 for 2.2, around 1250 for 2.3. So I´m gonna wait for Wolfbreak´s Cyanogenmod before I permanently update to 2.3.

On a side note, the Sony Ericsson Backup and Restore app did work for me (fortunately), as I had the most recent backup of my contacts and SMS/MMS in that app... Dont know if it is because my phone is rooted, but i recall SE saying that it wouldnt work... Im glad I tried anyway....
I believe that has been mentioned several times by SE. Nevertheless, perhaps this can be of any help for you.

I managed to put it on ..
All I can say is it will take a while to get used
To the new layout but ive noticed its quicker on the internet etc.
Like the shut of thing if u leave it tho
All icons have changed etc not bad
I think I prefered the menu layout tho on 2.1
FLicking thru side to side is horrible to find apps :-S

How's the overall performance of UI speed? better or the same? also one of the most important feature that I've been waiting for is Wifi Tether, anybody can review that?
EDIT: can we now install apps on SD?
