ok....update on the mumbai meet. Amidst all the excitement, whiz forgot the box, handsfree, gamecard at the shop. Luckily, i had left my number with the owner and he called up to inform me. No problem though as i am going there on monday to return the k700 handsfree. So whizkids accessories will be safe with yous truly, till he dops in next time.

X-posting from the GPRS thread.
I am all but getting lost in the technical mumbo-jimbo !
Turns out , for every call to the customer care in air tel , they provide you with a different answer everytime for the same question. )
Right , now i have asked those people to activate this service which allows me to access ALL wap sites ( or so they say) on my phone , and they shall have Rs.99 of my fathers hard earned money.
Now i go ask them again about the options i have to access internet on my computer their GPRS , they ask me for Rs.600 (Mobile Office).
And i think that pretty much settles it.
1. Now the one question : Is there a way i can access the internet with the current (Rs.99) plan i have opted for ?
Scared of being scowled at , i have checked the archives , it has some information on tricks played by certain members on the providers...but i found them less helpfull to my query.
And Coimbatore ESATO'eans , here i am , a Coimbatorean. |

Yeah - USMLE and PLAB are bright options.. i know a few who have gone there.. but for being successful you should know the following:
1) There may be a long waiting period.
2) You may get stagnated at the post of a houseman for a long time - unless you r hardworking and brilliant- which acclerates your progress and salary. (this is because the first preference for registrarship goes to the Local residents)
3) But nevertheless the salary is enough to lead a comfortable life there and a lavsh life here.. |

oh boy, another coimbatorean where in cbe are you in, dude ?
btw you cant access anything other than wap sites for the 99rs plan (i didnt even know it existed :-/ ) only mobile office (Rs600) plan allows u to access all internet sites and browse thru the PC

Hey , am within a kilometer from the airport.
You are a coimbatorean too ?
For others , i was here when i was stuck with a question of 6600 VS k700i , i settled most unfortunately with a 6600 !
Now that am back to the SE community with T610 , lets see where the future takes us to.Plans are to upgrade to S700i , next month (Saving money ! )
As informed before , two mobile shops in Coimbatore are offering S700i for ~21,000 . I have just confirmed with them.

well i have no idea about that... but yeah the going is tough initially, but if u get the right breaks and make the right moves - u would land up in a pretty good position..Uk may be more Indian student friendly than US, so PLAB may be a better option... |

@amar - whoa.... near the airport ? In peelamedu ? I'm on the other side of town, in Podanur, near nanjudapuram. Perhaps we'll meet some day
The S700 is an excellent choice, go for it....
