hello guys.. good am..
hmmm... its kinda weird.. i was using my palm tungsten c yesterday, and i was able to browse under Sun cellular settings without any costs at all. I keyed-in the sun's IP address on the Gateway IP address and that's it.
BUT... when i am using my another phone (Nokia 6100), aside from my SE s700i, it has a charged, and i am also using the same settings. Do you think it has something to do with the Gateway IP address that the Palm has and nokia, SE and other phones don't have? Help.. Thanks.. |

... i used the same IP address for sun wap gprs, the 202.138.159.078, and worked both on the palm and nokia phone. BUT, like what i have said, i put the IP add on the gateway IP address, and sun didnot charge me anything. However, when i tried using the gprs on my nokia phone and SE, sun charged me. |

hmmm.. yeah it has a wifi but i am not using it. And i could only use wifi connection in seattles or starbucks (any place with a wifi spot). I am from bulacan and i dont think it has a wifi connection there. (goodluck for me!!! hehehe). Really, it is a gprs connection. |

according to the sun csr its 0.10cents/kB, it could be the charging for postpaid plan but for prepaid plan...it's not. my suggestion is you guys clear first your gprs counter before using the wap service and try to monitor your gprs usage and your load..... i'ved check my prepaid usage... sun's charging is around 0.14 ~ 0.17 cents per kB. I don't know about post paid plans 'coz i dont want to try with my post paid plan.... i just use my prepaid account if i want to browse or visit wapsites. it could also be true what others say that the 0.10 cents/kB charging is applicable if your browsing the sun wapsite but visiting other wapsites, the charging could be as high as 0.15~0.18 cents/ kB.
can we call sun's attention to provide unlimited gprs usage for P300 a month...that would be cool, right? if they're the first to provide unlimited call and text (24/7)...this time.... suncellular would still be the first in providing unlimited gprs here in Pinas.....
lets all start calling the HOTLINE (200) now for our request.
Goodluck!!!
