I wasn't expecting a Z6 to be honest.

Just a random thought. Would it be beneficial for Sony to use the display from PlayStation VR on a future flagship? I mean if they are going to keep sticking with 1080p on their displays, then I can't see how using a 5.7" 1080p RGB OLED with a 120Hz refresh rate would be a bad thing. The only major issue would be whether they could obtain enough screens for a mobile phone without affecting the supply for PSVR. |

120Hz display would rip through the battery buddy.maybe they can limit it to 90 or 60

I don't think Playstation would want to dilute the experience with a Xperia VR effort. Remember the Xperia Play? I liked it but it was nothing like the PSPortable experience.

^^ Nobody wants business with sony mobile as the division is a dead man walking since after z3 period, not that before that it was all roses, far from it. They are not learning from mistakes, living in their own isolated world. They are simply digging their own grave slowly but surely for a long time now. Consumers are voting with their money, they are not dumb. In order to stop this horror show they should be smart enough to exist the smartphone manufacturing soon enough as they refuse to change.

Nobody wants to read your dumb post here. Don't like it don't buy it and don't come here to post some incredible dumb post like " If they are smart they will shut down the smartphone business". |

I agree with @goldenface and @amirprog...
If they want to revolutionize the mobile gaming industry, then they need a very different approach than Xperia Play... and no special market or section where game developers need to get approved before publish their games on it...

If that thing is suppose to work as psvr screen, it would definitely be corded. Zero chance for wireless display, even minimal lag is a big deal for vr. Battery would be a? non issue and the PS4 can feed it power. The Z5p can technically do 120Hz @ 1080p as it has to support 4k @60Hz. |

If they want to truly revolutionise the mobile gaming industry they need to do 3 things in one device:
- Release a pure gaming device - gaming first - give it all the controls and ergonomics of a PS controller (without expensive accessories) and give it voice call features and a sim card slot.
- Let it play everything in the Play store (vital that they actually use the Play store not a proprietary app market)
- Let it play PSX/2/3 (through a proprietary app market is fine here because they are proprietary products).
Wait, that's very close to what they have already in the market but no-one uses the features. Maybe nobody uses the features because nobody (in the real world) knows they exist? Why? Oooohhhh, it's because Sony always put more money into advertising the camera than the actual cool features. Such a shame.
Seriously though, Sony do always put money into advertising the wrong parts of their handsets. The camera meets minimum standards for a flagship usually, why big it up? The design of the handset itself is not groundbreaking and being a visual thing it speaks for itself, why make an entire promo vid to tell us about it? The advertising department are stuck in the '80s desperately trying to find the right path. It doesn't take mountains of money to make an impact, just being in touch with the product and the people.
I have a dig bick You read that wrong |

I don't think SONY will be able to implement fingerprint sensor on power button if the side bezel is too thin. |
