Would X10 owners be upset if it gets Android 2.1? What if it has multi touch? Before the inevitable hype for this Walkman, wait for a few more specs to emerge. A few people are painting an image of X10 with a big 'W' slapped on it. I would imagine that its more like Vivaz than the X10 which should remain the top device for a while. The X10 needs some time on the market as the top dog so any phone with similar specs will be kept under wraps to avoid competition.
A Nokia announcement is coming tomorrow for what maybe their 12MP snapper. Its also about time Satio was replaced, maybe I'm too optimistic. We all saw abnormal levels of copy paste designs at MWC so maybe its literally Vivaz with Android. |

X10 is the flagship, the Walkman android, from the estimated price, it looks "cheaper" than the X10.
Which means it should be below in certain areas, LCD size, camera and so on.
But theyr portefolio is pretty narrow these days, so they should release something before this summer imo.

@badassmam
My post on Android 2.1 clearly states that X10 owners will fume should this walkman phone release with a current version of the OS before the X10 gets one.
It is clear that the X10 is the current flagship of SE's and will be so for the next couple of months. As for multitouch, why would SE still not employ it even in this walkman? That would be foolish, but then SE tends to be foolish more often than not. I am imagining the upcoming walkman phone will likely be released in the third quarter, around September, after the X10 has had its run (and hopefully an update to Android 2.xxx) and so multitouch should be included unless SE again wants to be left following others.
The lifespan of flagship phone has been drastically reduced and so new phones should come with some features that a flagship product doesn't have.
Just look at the Satio and Vivaz with the latter spotting HD recording when the flagship Satio lacked it.
So, SE would be well advised to think about multitouch in the next phones.
It's not what you do or even how you do it but in what state of mind you do it: Dups! 2009 |

Wait for this Walkman Android, there is bound to be some aspect that should have been better, camera could be one thing for sure. |

5MPix with autofocus? Should be enough for a Walkman phone IMO.
