hi all!
i'm a new user of this forum and i'm from Italy, i have read this topic from the first page!
I'm waiting for M600 'cause i think P990 it's too big. But here in Italy M600 is not available yet.
I was scared reading your impression with the first firmware release, but now i'm getting more confident...
I have a little question for you (i see this issue here and an italian's forum):
do you confirm the screen is unreadble with the sun light?
nothing better changing themes? |

1) Not sure about this, try reset your Jabra
2) You can delete an individual sms by pressing the back key in the sms inbox window. To delete all messages in your inbox though u would have to got to more--> Mark All and then More --> delete.
3) I haven't come across any such application for the UIQ 3.0 as yet but the software development is in it's early stages, i'm pretty sure something will come along eventually.
I would strongly advise you to update your device to the latest firmware.

I can confirm that in direct sun light the screen is not that good, but it also depends on the Theme you have selected. In UK sunshine I have managed to use the functions but other have reported more difficulties

I'm living in Karachi and in the peak of summer this place is as sunny as they come. Even with the default screen brightness and default theme i have quite a bit of difficulty in reading the screen outdoors

Found another bug, this time to do with the PC software, if i change the calender setting so that it syncs more days then the default 30 before 90 after...it deletes all contacts from the phone after the next sync! I have tried this three times doing a master reset to the phone uninstalling the PC software...anyone else having the same problems? |

@Gabster, I have set my Calendar to syn 180 days before and after and no problems with Contacts. I am not using ActiveSync and I sync with my laptop by BT.

jperleryd, not as silly as i am coz you're spot on ! thanks a bunch ! got it paired on 1st go.
addhussain , tried to delete the sms using back key but it says read only file or something like that. What could i be doing wrong?
Got another question, What does tracker app do? Does it give the M600i better shortcut functions?
I know i sound like a real pain, please bear with me. Cheers

It works everytime on my phone, even works in the contact application. Are you using the latest firmware?

Any idea how to get rid of the Sync'd email account in the messages tab...no biggy if its not possible, just been trying to find a way and i cant. |

I'm using firm R1A, maybe thats why. I'll updating firmware shortly after i finish d/loading the update software app. Will post a response when done.
Also noticed that phone will hang in the middle of d/loading many emails using 3g service
Can anyone tell me a bit more about tracker app coz their site ain't too informative. Sorry but never used symbian before.

Tracker I believe is still a UIQ2.1 app and will not run the M600, unless it has been ported to UIQ3. It is like Handy Day (which has been ported to UIQ3) in that it provides a summary 'Today' as well as being an app launcher. |

updated to R3A & it fixed the back key for deleting messages. Thanks
3G connections, d/loads & overall phone operations much faster
@jah
i think i now understand the functions of tracker & handy day. Which would you recommend if both were uiq3.0 capable?
