Almost couldn't get up this morning...was up until 1.20am updating my iPod library with album art- don't ask me why. Really enjoyed playing with iTunes Art Importer...when you get your own music off your hard drive it does not come with album art even though it can be seen on the Windows Media player. |

Happy Birthday Teeninvader! Hope you have a great day and year ahead...
So we are on our way to centurion to check out some glocks. Our company has been hired to make a video of that israeli guy who used to be in the special forces and protected the prezzie and all. Doing the planning and all of that now. I am going to have more guns pointed at me the next 4 weeks than james bond. Goodie. So this particular guy has a crapload phones. I think he has made quite a dip in the se w range of phones, and continues. He can afford it i suppose. He is in the security industry and there is money to be made, especially if you are good.
Every now and again i see the odd porche or other pretty cars. Must actually post the pictures. Just too busy these days.

Happy birthday O Invading One, hope you're having a stunning day bro.
Taken from this morning's edition of The Herald. I didn't listen to the show very often, but when i did it was always worth the effort. I'd love to see how the SABC intends to placate the many incensed listeners who have helped to make the morning show the huge success it has been.

Hey can anybody help me.i just registered today.Im interested in getting a Sony Erricsson K800i and was checking out the net for specs n stuff,it mentios that the ringtones are Polyphonic.Does this mean that you cant set a MP3 as your ringtone? if that is true then this is definetely a Dumb phone.Any replies would be appreciated. |

@ Kronik101,
Firstly, welcome to the SA thread.
Secondly, the pre-installed ringtones on most modern phones like the K800i are mainly polyphonic, and thus it's stated/listed as a standard feature when looking at phone specs, but this handset certainly has the ability to use MP3's as ringtones.

I had trouble with my internet this weekend. Not slow internet, no internet for stretches of time. It was crap. But anyway...
Pity about the k800...thought it would be a good all rounder...
About poly ringtones, all it means is your phone can play limited midi files.(midi used to be like these cheesy files you could play on your pc, these days there are advanced implementations of it. I use it in music production.) Now phones can play those ancient versions of it which is not bad. It is not good, and the advanced versions is only really used in music production, needs some processing power never mind gigs of space for one instrument. Point being, midi wont really be pushed further than it is being used. And with real music, why?
So yeah, any decent phone will have mp3 or m4a file support.
