How are you finding the Blackberry Pearl, KBR?

Its good, very nice screen compared to the 7290 and 8700, decent size not to big not to small.
The cam works well, no macro mode or autofocus but decent.
The keypad is ok nothing to brag about, I do find I have to concentrate on which part of the button my finger is before I press down...
Crappy music player, and their biggest stuff up, no 3G... Could have rivaled the E61...
The menu is same old 8700 style vlive branded.
The colour scheme works well, good solid feel to it and the Pearl...
I think its a step foward, id like to see more phones with this little rollerball, could solve SE joystick problems.
Its just a little sensitive at times, I move it right but it moves in a diagonal direction, got to be gentle with it

Yes it have the vodafone logo. Just like mine even the software that was running before was the same one.
Actually thats what the vodacom guys said, that said they won't remove the software they will just update to the lastest software and that automatically have the generic menus and all that.
And thats why its alway a problem explaining this to vodacare 'cos most customers they demand removing the vodafone. On mine I requested the lastest software, that was after that guys from vodacom explained this whole thing.

Okay, the old software gets deleted anyway. But that not what they do, they update the software to the latest version. Like you can do with the SE update tool. |

Enjoy the Twenty20 match, guys?
Wow, wins don't come much more conclusive than that...10 wickets with 8.3 overs to spare.
I was trying to spot any SA esato members under the scoreboard.

@jmash: AFAIK MTN don't brand their phones except for start-up and shutdown screens...last time I checked the only phone that was branded on the Y'ello network was the first batch of Blackberry's launched in SA.
@da wanqsta: Really enjoyed the 20/20 match...haven't seen such clean hitting since a memorable Sunday afternoon last year when we entertained the offspring of a bunch of convicts.

Ah, so true, brixsta.
That was one historical, unforgettable ODI last year, surely the epitome of ODI matches.
We're off to The London Motorcycle Show tomorrow, so will be uploading loads of pics on Sunday.
Took these 2 pics with the N73 of my new helmet (with the WW2 plane), as well as the rear design of the mrs' Arai helmet:
Too bright a background, but so we learn...
Still have to remove the safety and info stickers.

Enjoy the show mate...I'm k@k scared of riding bikes- just seems too dangerous. My friend just recently got out of hospital following a motorcycle accident. |

Thanks mfowethu.
I can understand the sentiments. I grew up in a very anti-isithuthuthu (hope I got the spelling right ) household, ie. they're '2 wheeled coffins' etc. I only really got into them when, as a student in PE, I needed to get more mobile between Summerstrand and where I had part-time work at Greenacres. I saved up my casual wages for a long time, but still didn't have enough for a decent car. In '90, when I saw a very good bike going for a snip back then...., well the rest is kinda history, I guess.
I'm also still in one piece after nearly 17 years of riding; things like doing the advanced MRAC Course in SA (Motorcycle Rider Advancement Course) has also contributed, knowing my limits and the machine's and NOT overstepping these, as well as developing decent peripheral vision etc. have all played their part.
Back to phones, O2 are currently trying to promote the tiny Samsung X830 further by giving away a years' worth of free movie tickets (Odeon cinemas), whether on PAYG or contract. The current PAYG price for this handset is £149.99 (approx R2100).

Right, we're off to the show now; see ya'll later.

LOL, true. Yeah, I was worried that the rain was going to affect proceedings. Wish I could've been at the match, wet grass n' all.
