bart, there will always be people selling something because they need money. Vein wanted to sell his collection since a long time (I guess almost 2 years) because he just wasn't much interested in it.

And to be honest: Of course I love my collection but it's not more than a little luxury. Truely, my collection is the only thing I own, that is good for nothing. It's just nice to watch them.

So stay cool. Times are not worse, some people just think worse. And not to everyone a collection has the same value.

Wow! Haven't been here for a loooooooong time.

I'm never selling any of my Ericsson phones, actually have got rid of three SE phones but not a single Ericsson. In fact, the last couple of days I have been using my favourite cellphone of all times- the R320s. I can't remember how many times people actually asked where, when and how long kind of questions.

The one thing I enjoyed was/is the strong vibrate of the phone, I never missed a call even when I had it on vibrate only. I also forgot how you could go for more hours on a low battery than current phones, truly a joy to use.

The one amazing thing though is that I still use the original battery after eight years- the BSL-11. I actually had reservations about the battery three years ago that I bought a generic one just in case, but it is still going strong.

Unfortunately I can't find batteries for my GH688, got 3 for the R600 though.

I wish I had a magic wand and wave so as to bring Ericsson (by itself) back. Those were the days.
It's not what you do or even how you do it but in what state of mind you do it: Dups! 2009

Look what i just buy, from a guy, how bought on the flea market. its a near mint condition T36m prototype. it costs 45€. it works but its full with bugs. sw version: R1A36 CXC125137

Buglist:
- no backlite,
- pixel bugs on main screen
- R320 picture at the startup,
- full black screen when swicthing to screen saver
- sreen saver is on top
- without sim, calling 112 freezing down, 911, dorops back to "insert sim"
- with inactive sim 112 freezing down and the red led is blinking fast
- with simcard entering simlock menu, freezing down and the red led is blinking fast
- no test services in test menu
- bad standytime indicating
- in cell info, if off both circles filled up, if enabled, both circles empty
- no keypad tones at all, vainly selected
- in call info no Data counters menu
- in sounds/allerts no "my melodies"
- in display menu no background, and unable to set the text size
*- unable to set the time or date( able to set, but not save it)
- no "phone name" menu in settings
- no data communication (so i think no gprs at all)
*- no "flip functions" menu, but flip works
- in extras no irda and no bt menu, instead 2 alarm clock, the first is the BT it finds another devices, but unable pair it.
- in 2. alarm clock has "motion snoze" menu which is from the R520.
- in games: soltaire is tennis, and full of with pixel bugs tetris not start at all
- ongoing call menu instead Wap services

@Zsolthy:

Don't worry, most of your listed bugs are wellknown or are not even bugs (i.e. the T36 does not support GPRS). Regarding the freezing problem: If you have an old 5V simcard, try this one. The T36 proto firmware just doesn't like modern 3V simcards, as I found.

Uncommon problems at your T36 are:
- no backlight (should work with any known firmware)
- no flip functions
- no possibility to change menu text size
- no possibility to change time and date

These functions did work on the 4 T36 I have held in my hands so far but all T36 have had problems by editing and saving some menu functions so I guess it's all a problem of not being able to save a changed function properly.

However, your unit does look very good and the price is more than a bargain. The average price is around 300 euro.

And by the way: e-zones has been relaunched now. There are several improvements so just try it out. Also, I added some groups.

Hello to everyone,

A new seconhand phone shop opened these days near Zürich, Switzerland. I passed there and did not know about it. I was lucky to find these 2 fones in good condition, does anybody know some details about them? NH238 / LX677 (for more photos go to:www.picasaweb.google.ch/bucheral01
then go to the update folder)

Thanks Alex

@bucheral:
though the phone's condition look very good I hope you didn't pay much: Especially in the past year I have found several brand new LX677 at ebay USA for 1 dollar plus shipping. Average shipping costs are 20 USD so the total costs are still pretty cheap.

@Zsolthy:
The NMT450 is still in use on Iceland. But I guess bucheral wouldn't travel such a distance to check if his phone is fully operational
