ROLMAO @ da wanqsta...Yep, network branding (of software) on smartphones was never a smart move...Somehow the Evil Empire(Vodafone) think they can hoodwink customers by unnecessarily branding phones on their network.

LG's first GSM HSDPA handset should be available soon, and a bling one at that.

Courtesy of www.mobiletoday.co.uk :

A 3.5G version of the LG Shine will be out in March.
The LG Shine has been given a launch date of 7 February. The second Black Label series handset, following the Chocolate, comes with a two megapixel camera, MP3 player, 70MB of internal memory with room to expand, Bluetooth and is a quad-band device. It is the first camera phone to come with a Schneider-Kreuznach lens.

LG will also release a high speed 3.5G version of the handset. Its features will be exactly the same as the original Shine, but will offer users super fast download speeds using HSDPA, about four times faster than 3G. It is due to be released mid-March.

Hey chaps - did you see this?
http://www.businessday.co.za/[....]/topstories.aspx?ID=BD4A371959
I knew that SAfm is becoming more and more 'excentric' however, I did not expect it to be as bad as this
@krypta What is all the wholabaloo concerning the rats in the city center of PE?
N95 will also be 3.5G and will also be released in about 6 weeks

@mario: He probably got a better job offer. What has he told you about his decision to quit SAfm. He was a good football commentator back in the day.

Blood diamond???

I watched the movie a few weeks back. I felt so emotional about some thingz. Maybe I am too sensitive.

I also checked out the comments online by some international people who said a lot of crap about the movie.

I personally think its a very good movie, I give it 10/5 stars. It made me cry.

We've just had a few visitors to the school bring in some large birds of prey, including the world's biggest owl type, namely the eagle owl, as well as various falcons and hawks.
Dang, the eagle owl must have some type of owl runny-tummy; the hall floor was struck with a generously sized olive-coloured splatter...and the smell was almost too pungent to believe. Eish, it was bad...

Will post pics of the birds, taken with the N73, later.

@Brix, nice guess Indeed I have chatted with him twice, last year - unrelated thou. Actualy the second time I was looking for Nikiwe. My best guess is, he got a deal/package - keep your mouth shut and here is the money. I did not expect Nikiwe to go thou. On his second conversation he said he will visit me while on vacation in/close to J-Bay. He and Niki have been my favorites I miss Tim Modise too. I remember him embarassing Tony Ngeny some years back. I agree Tim was to 'direct' and indiscret at times, althou he was right.
I get the feeling you are 'batting for the other team' . I am sure you know more than what I do - let's leave it there.
Hey I'll get my wife's N73 on friday (Now that's good news - for me at least). Greetings from Jeffrey's

Speaking of the N73, it 'hung' twice this morning when I was taking the pics. After taking a pic, then pressing the 'back' option, it would not go back to the 'live' camera, but would freeze up. All that responded was the on/off key at the top of the handset. Two hard reboots in the space of 15 minutes shouldn't be a norm...
I took about 9 pics in all, so the hanging/ freezing didn't happen each time, but still, my 3230 only froze about once or twice in the year and a half that I had it. Hmm...
Methinks a trip to Nokia's service centre in central London is in order, if there's been a fw update.

@mario: I've been a fan of John Perlman for many years...actually his show is the only one worth listening to in the morning.
About "batting for the other side" my politics is probably more to the right of the ANC.

Ye I hated that with the N73, I was used to the K750 style pull flap to activate the cam, but with the N73 it takes ages before you can even take the pic, and if you want another pic its another 2 minute wait...

Now, that I am getting a new cell, I am posting a lot on this forum (and others). @786 2min between pics? I'll check that, I think you talk crap, but give you the benefit of the doubt until this weekend. @ Ama, do you have the latest firmware, is your n73 branded in any way? First thing I will do is to 'upgrade' mine to the latest fm at home over the weekend. I am very much interested in the video rec. Is it better then the N70? A buddy of mine at 'symbian-freak' forum, has a production model of a N95. He send me a few video recordings and I must say, there are almost as good as my 2years old sony trv 75e handycam! As soon as the n95 comes to SA I will return the N73 back to my wife and go for the 'real horse'. I will then be able to record and post, video clips while I fly  Also it will replace my Garmin72 gps (I will give the old one to the recovery team) Does anyone know what the 3.5g upload speed is like in South Africa?
