@rhodri
hi and welcome!
assuming u r from the klang valley, head to Ericserve in Amcorp Mall, PJ (opp A&W). usually its done for free for a legit set but since urs is an AP set, then u'll have to fork out bout RM50. that very much depends on whether or not ur phone can be flashed. just to give u an idea what i mean, one of our mates here can't get his phone flashed bcoz his is an italian AP set, or so i remember. i suggest u give them a call before going (03-79573922)
good luck.
@sanjy,
its good to know u're still around. its been ages man! so what's been up these days? i guess life is sweet from where u sit huh?

Dear All,
Does the SANDISK brand of memory duo card for 128 mb work with the P9 or P8. Am thinking if it works, maybe should get it at RM200+ as compared to original SE mem duo at over RM300+
Appreciate your feedback, pls. |

Waja,
Mind sharing where you bought your Duo at that price. If it was that price 8 mths ago, should be cheaper now rite? Was quoted at one of the gadget shops in Low Yat, maybe the sales person thought that I was not serious so mentioned a ridiculuous price.
Actually thot of buying the mini Ipod for listening to MP3s, but if 128 mb duo card is below RM200 then probably use my P900 as my MP3 player. With 128, can at least store 20 to 30 songs, good for my ERL rides, airport waiting, etc. |

Amazingly the cheapest I've found so far is in the official Sony Wings store in KLCC at RM219 (just checked last week). Usually the Sg. Wang or Law yat 'phone stalls' will be cheapest but I've been quoted crazy prices in these places (RM 300++). So, I'd recommend Sony Wings, cheap, good after sales service and guaranteed to be original (cant be too careful in KL:-)

If anyone knows where one can get an ori SE 128MB mem stick duo (magic gate), for less than RM 219,pls do share.
Amazingly the store beside (20 steps away) Sony Wings KLCC was selling the eaxct same product for RM 300++. I didnt know 20 steps could be that expensive! How that store survive I have no idea.
The other day I saw this guy who was clinging on to his gf's waist as if he was a kidnapper, buying the mem stick at that store (RM 300++), and I would have told him that he could save RM 100 by just walking 20 extra steps, but for the fact that he already placed more like threw his credit card on to the counter. Besides I think he didnt mind spending the extra dosh so he can look class in front of his gf and get some extra mushu:-)

OK I forgot the name of the shop as I've not visited it for a long time, but its at IT Centre Sunway Pyramid, the PDA shop at the main entrance. They're selling MS Duo's 128MB at RM210.
Also known as sonyclie77 in Esato forums. |

Last month i bought a memory stick duo 128mb from this fella at lelong.
http://www.lelong.com.my/Auc/List/DetailStd.asp?ProductID=1095278
Price only RM199. If you stay in Penang you can get that price but if out of penang need to add Pos Laju fees.
cheers

Rhodri,
Bought a Krussell case for my P9 at mygadgets at Low Yat. You may want to look for your K700 case there as well. Like the K7 but unfortunately unexpandable, so not much use for me, coz' I dumped in a lot of things on my phone, which also act as my PDA, hence the P9.
Maybe the new Ipac H6000 series look tempting.........
Guys,
Any Sony Wings in BB/SWang vicinity or Low Yat? |
