Since yesterday I've been trying to connect to zain internet without success. Such poor coverage! I really wonder how long it will take Zain to get this right...year 2020?
@dawny: All telcos are guilty of this ignorance. I 've complained about it several times and OluYom wrote about it recently after another experience.

I'm posting this now with a zain connection. i do not understand the rreason why this particular service is put on this kind of SHOWCASE for all the world to see.THIS IS AN ADVERTISEMENT OF UNMITIGATED MEDIOCRITY and it is so sad. No dictionary word can describe how bad this particular data service is. All I can say is SHAME ON U ZAIN

Some posts i made a few days back seem to have disappeared. Anyhoo, i have decided to try out mtn's night bundle. Still dont think the 24hr bundle is worth the money, esp with the data cap. Is anyone here actually using it?

I personally have a different story on this Zain data package. I can connect easily and the speed is ok for a gprs connection. However, I discovered that the wap APN browses faster than the full internet APN.
It may however depend on my location. No EDGE or 3G here by the way.

@Abu: I think the MTN daily package is quite ok for those who use the internet intermittently and need instant access to the web from the comfort of their homes or offices. I sometimes use it. I have also used the all nite package, but staying awake to browse is not friendly with people who have to be at work the next day.

@Brym: I can't believe you think a phone that weighs just 140grm is heavy??? I remember not too long ago we were using motorola talkabouts and ericsson 2618 which were considered then to be quite hip and snazzy. Those phones used to weigh as much as a bag of rice. Now 140grm is too heavy.....

You got me laughing my head off there! Seriously, phone manufacturers have done well reducing the average weight and thickness of regular phones, but I think we deserve more "fit and trim" smartphones.
