Does anyone know if the charger that comes with the Xperia T (ep880 with cable ec801) is the fast charger or do I need to buy another one to get this feature?

Thanks,

The EP 880 is the quick charger that comes boxed with phones. The EP 881 is the retail version sold separately.

Xperia TX hands down as i own both. Along with darker blacks, more vivid color reproduction.

Is the brightness level of tx enough for outdoor use? XS has a brifht screen

Its bright enough for outdoors, as long as its not 100% in direct angle to the sunlight. But XS does have a ever so slightly brighter screen, hence more washout colours compared to TX

About a week ago or so, I asked about the 64GB compatibility with the TX. I finally got my hands on one, the SanDisk Ultra 64GB MicroSD card. it works!

I first load it into my phone, but it didn't read it, so I formatted with my pc via a card reader, NTFS format, then insert it in my TX, it recognize, but I had to format it again with TX, and since then, I load it with my media files, Total 59.45GB, available= 12GB. everything plays, no corrupted files... yet. And I hope it stays that way.

So those who wanted more than 32Gb should opt for it.

Hey guys, what firmware release is everyone on?

I just got my TX and it's running V7.0.A.3.212.

Not sure what the latest actually is.

That is the latest for TX depending on your region.

Some regions have 7.0.A.3.195 or similar FW with absolute minor differences.

I think the Jelly Bean updates will be after New Year, maybe mid Feb. Traditionally that's when they release the fist big updates for late-Autumn handsets.

The higher up the decimal point the change is in the FW number, the greater the change.

So JB may have a 8.x.x.x.x as it is a top level android version change and therefore highly significant.

I just wanted to leave some impressions of my TX.

I like some of the software enhancements over the Xperia S, lots of small things that make it a bit nicer to use (the battery percentage for example)

I'm not so sure on the on screen buttons though. The mixture of them as well as the repositioning of the options menu to an icon on the screen rather than it being a button reduces the usable screen space by a fair bit, especially in the web browser where the viewable area of the page and the viewable area of the address bar are both reduced by noticeable amounts. Despite the screen being bigger, it feels more cramped because of it. Would be nice if there was a feature like on Windows where you can adjust the DPI i.e. what's displayed on the screen by making it smaller/bigger, seems a waste of pixels otherwise (I understand this is probably a limitation of Android though).

The design of the phone itself isn't too bad, it feels a fair bit thinner than the Xperia S. Still, I wish it had a smooth back like the Xperia Arc rather than the soft touch/rubbery material. I think that's one key part of the Arc's elegant feel which isn't quite replicated by the TX. I think the lock button is in a horrendous place, I'm right handed and it's just on the edge of my index finger when my thumb is in the wrong place for phone use. Basically I have to reshuffle my grip on the phone when I lock/unlock it. It would be perfect if I was left-handed though. The massive camera lens protruding out of the back is a bit of a worry as well. I love the lightup Xperia logo however.

It feels a fair bit quicker than the Xperia S, I can't wait to see it running Jelly Bean to finally get a totally smooth experience on Android, but this is the closest I've experienced on my phones.

In Australia this phone is marketed as the Bond Phone, and as such comes preloaded with Skyfall content. The ringtone is a bit awkward (I've always stuck with stock ringtones) but I love the notification tone. The theme uses a standard wallpaper of the typical gun barrel that every Bond fan would know. The advantage to this being it improves performance a little as otherwise I'd be using the Sony live wallpaper (the big wave every Sony fan knows)

I spent $440 AU on it so I have little to complain about (RRP here is $629 AU but I get good prices from Sony). The RRP puts it on about a par if not a bit cheaper than the Galaxy S III and a fair bit more than the HTC One X. I'm not convinced it could win sales from those phones except for people who are looking for something a bit different. Based on the amount of Galaxy S III's I see around obviously people aren't quite sick of them yet,

Nope.

What brand card are you using? Did you try formatting the card with the phone? What music app are you using? And, what FW are you using?
