The best area to work with buttons is the INSIDE space
between left/right buttons and the middle.

The battery problem is that after activity it keeps sucking energy on idle.
And that is strange because in activity it's quite OK.

But as Arc eats like 1% through many hours, S is faster.

What are you on about? The bottom buttons in ICS only appear if the phone has no buttons e.g. in the Galaxy Nexus, phones that have buttons likdm GS2, Sensation, One X, GNote, Xperia S etc...wont have those on-screen ICS ones.
Just look at ICS on the One X, Sensation XE and in leaked ICS ROMs for GS2 and GNote.

ps. Samsung already said ICS is rolling out in March for GS2, so either way, it will be available before Xperia S gets it, which is odd, Sony should've just launched it with ICS so that they can focus on 2011 line-up, and do minor bug fixes in Xperia S.

Allright than if the buttons are not on screen.

Anyway there are some things I don't get here:
1. There is no way I can perform video call

2. There is no USB Mass storage in settings.

I use skype really like it

You have download file manager

Skype is a different thing. I talk about video calling in phone.

And USB mode has nothing to do with File Manager.

You confuse things.

More pics as requested by @etaab

For the battery it's running out pretty fast, maybe because is always WIFI connected, BT and installing apps

Watching a movie with the Xperia S is... it has a really great screen and for me better than the iPhone 4S

Domistri, I think you must reboot your phone. It looks like classic android bag with battery eating.

You mean just turning the device on and off?

As for USB you don't get my point:

On Arc you can choose in settings if the device connects in Media Transfer mode or Mass Storage.

On X S Mass Storage is gone apparently.

Yes. I have this problem pretty often. Just off and on. And my Arc gets full battery volume after 8-10 charging. First time I was shoked, but then pretty good lifetime.

Sounds good to me.
Hope so.

Most users seem to be experiencing the complete opposite.

Re the battery drain issue, Sony seem to always have an problem with this, the X10 when it first came out drained very quickly until the first firmware release fixed it, then the Arc had the same issue with the cam module not shutting down... seems to be a bit of trait.

In terms of ICS, I agree that it would have been a smarter move for Sony to release with ICS now. The issue is that they would probably have quite a buggy version which would ultimately put consumers off. It's obvious that Sony are waiting until ICS is polished until it's released. Rumours have ranged from end of March for X S up to middle of this year. I would imagine Sony will want to get ICS out as soon as they can have a stable version as the crop of ICS models (HTC, ect) will launch in April.

Downloaded the manual out of curiosity, nothing really to note, tbh I don't even know why they bother releasing manuals these days for such a complicated and complex device - I don't think Apple do.

One thing the manual release does show is that consumer models should be hitting the shelves imminently - i.e next week fingers crossed.
