I'm REALLY glad I didn't hold off as even after about 10 weeks of ownership its still my most used gadget.
When I'm not making phone calls, or sending the odd text, its entertaining me with music while I work. On the train to/from work I catch up with video podcasts for such things as National Nine news in sydney, and gadget updates such as Geekbrief (with the lovely Cali Lewis), Megawhat, CNet's Loaded (with the lovely Natalie del Conte)... also Stuff.tv
other podcasts that keep me amused are the Reuters oddly Enough... and finally! and Around the net (with the very lovely Olivia Munn)
when I'm waiting for a system build at work, or in the waiting room at doctor/dentist etc I play backgammon, solitaire or parking lot among other games
I can check the weekend weather with the touhc of a button or see how my shares or how the Aussie dollar conversion is going (not good at the mo) or reminisce over my kids younger years photos etc, not to mention check out the locality of a place I want to go to using google maps etc etc etc (I could go on how much I use this!).
I almost never take pics with phones but I do hope the camera is improved and more usable in the next version
oh yeah... and watching you lot on Esato using the browser
So, its really doing alot more for me than any previous single device ever did so in no way do I regret having not waited

This is something i thought i'd never hear you say if i'm being honest, glad you like it. I love mine was just abit annoyed that the 16gb was released so quickly after i got my 8gb version, but i decided to hold off and wait for the next one. It''l be truly perfect then, can store all my videos and music then. Although i only watch the mac adverts, there so funny.

I thought BB messenger was exclusive to BB due to the pin or are you just talking about BB email?
You wouldn't want mine it is scratched rather alot, not been to careful with it, oops.

Please elaborate because i thought that the BB pin is exclusive to BB i.e. when you get a BB phone it has a pin attached to the device so would you need to own a BB handset and then somehow transfer the pin over to the iPhone to use the function?

mais non...
BB connect issues you with a PIN number.. on iPhone FW2 it appears the pin number that BB connect gives you can be used for BB messenger...
oh yeah. iPhone FW2 apparently has native BB support too...

Raging Thunder is great, if only to serve as a demo of the kind of things we can expect when the App Store is launched. The game has no sound at the moment, but the graphics are pretty good, and steering is control by tilting the phone left/right.
Another game to watch out for is Kingdom Lores (currently in pre-alpha):

shanespencer: i agree, i tested both games and i think with a little improvement (game feeling) we can expect some nice games on iphone. |
