wow! I guess too many filipinos are waiting for this phone. Me included. 
According to a friend of mine who works for SEMICON (authorized distributor of SE here) W960 will come out december around 28,000 pesos |

tnx for the info bronxdude. if it was above 30k i wouldn't get it.
asianic is also taking pre-orders for the w960 but i haven't inquired.
SE shops should have it earlier than semicon, right? |

The fact they're not releasing when they said for no better reason than to avoid going head to head with the I-Phone shows they have no courage in the product and don't value their customers as they will backtrack on promises made for nothing more than marketing reasons. Shame on you SE, another customer lost.
I agree with every single word in your post, CEREAL. Sick of how customers are being treated, and not sure my next phone will be SE after all. |

Is your friend sure about this? Cuz I have friends in  Phil, and they're not sure (or not allowed to say?) if the Dec date is confirmed in the Phil.
And at Php28,000... that means it'll cost the same as the K850i?

I was waiting for the w960i, my last three phones we're s700, w900i, w950i, but putting it back to january has made me look at other makes and i've just bought the lg viewty instead, it was fun to play with, and the w960i is starting to look like yesterdays technologhy, its just a w950i with an old camera added and a bit more memory. |

No confirmed date from Phil... so most likely, the first few units will be gray market. With how bad delays are going, I doubt will meet the Christmas rush... seeing as how there are now more options available, and the iPhone is now dropping in price. (ebay.ph is flooded with new, and "slightly used" iPhones well under the Php30k range now... and as much as I dislike the iPhone, I'm sure there are more people out there who'd rather get that than the not-yet-available-W960.
It would be great if it was under Php30k... but I highly... HIGHLY doubt it. Initial pegs are in the USD$700-800 range... I don't think we'll be getting it much cheaper than other markets... USD$50 less maybe, but not much less.
And if the price of the W950 is any indication of price (The M600 was released close to the price of the P1i) ... the W960 should come in at about Php32k - Php35k. Although I'm predicting that official unlocked units will be sold closer to Php38k.

ZOMG! even at $650 lowest price that's too expensive for my liking. time to save up those christmas bonuses then lol!
i work for one of our major telcos but i don't bother to ask them about new handsets availability. it's about 1-2k PhP more expensive anyway, and of course, network locked.
i really want a wifi capable phone with a traditional keypad and handwriting recognition, that's why i'm looking forward to this. i really don't want the p1i because the rocker keypad was just too much torture when i used a test unit in the office. and of course 8gb + walkman 3.0 = FTW! |

as i said b4 that i contact the "philipinee" site, but i didnt accept to send money via western union or bank transfer and i asked them about the company's location and they replied :

hi guys
i did NOT read all 64 pages in here but from revious about the previous w 950 was reports the clock was slow 9loosing up to 10 min with in 2 mounths & also the phone freeze & has many bugs
anyone have test this w 960? yet? is operating fast?
