@Chengrong;
I found this comment in your camdriver v.8.54:
//Mar 27,2007 add two scence green grass and cold
You have 2 new scenes?
//********************************************************************
// 0 => Sports 1 => Normal 2 => Landscape
// 3 => Portrait 4 => Nightscene 5 => Nightportrait
// 6 => Beach/snow 7 => Document 8 => Manual Exposure
//--------------------------------------------------------------------
Are the scenes position change?

hehe, because thats how spot works it measure amount of light in the picture and set it to be best for central object other objects are not important so can bo overexposured (yes, its the same thing as EV + but done automaticaly). I noticed SPOT is very good for Macros (flowers etc )
Thank you very much for your answer. Now i understand more about spot metering mode, i'll try it with mocro sometime |

Hey ChenGrong,
You're camera drivers are awesome and i've been using 8.53 since the day it was release, and I installed the new version and after experimenting with the new features i notice that when i first start the camera, the autofocus is disabled by default so I have to set it to 1.0 every time i enter the camera. Can you please make autofocus the default setting ? I'm using Cid49 W810 with R4EA031 firmware. Thx alot. |

thanks for your work!!! great driver!!! autofocus is great but only few things aren't good... in daylight and with ENM 8.53 is better than 8.54 for me... because in the 8.54 in the night there is more "noise".... i have k750@w800 cid49... thanks again
p.s. what is jpeg level? is the quality of photo? if yes can you put it on 100 or more than 87?

And another thing I discovered is that when I use 1.8 profile (wich I assume and hope is the same as in 8.53 and that's the manual exposure scene) and take a pictures without night mode or macro or anything else, just a bare picture, the pictures taken is very dark and grey. I would really appreciate if you can fix this because with 8.53 i've been using 1.8 to replace 1.0 (normal mode) because of the low iso so I had cristal clear pictures but now I can't and i'm very very sad but i have faith in you chengrong! you rock! Here's the indoor picture I took with 1.8 profile:
And this is the same picture with 1.0 profile:
OMG ! I just figured out how to take a picture with 1.8 with low iso so that the light is fine and that is by activating night mode but with minium EV -2.0! Just look at this:
Chengrong, you're officialy a genius and my hero !
And now I again realize (I hope I'm not being a pain in the a$$ for you)
that in indoor it works like a charm(where the light isn't very bright) but what happens when i'll make outdoor pictures where the light is bright ? because nightmode in outdoor dosen't work to good even by using -2 exposure. So you still have to figure out the 1.8 bug.

This table isn't available anymore for 8.53 and higher versions because super camera mode isn't available anymore in those versions. If I'm mistaken somebody please correct me. |
