Another dead end.Random reboots and I cannot connect to my wifi.Uninstall My poor X10.Its getting hammered this weekend.3 ROMS later and Im back to where I began. You gotta love xRecovery though and how easy it is to try out all these ROMs that are available.Whats making things all a bit of a nuisance is some ROMs only work with certain basebands/kernels which means when you try out the Android 2.3.4 ROMs you have to flash you phone to the .52 baseband and when you return back to 2.2.1 you gotta flash it back to the .54 baseband with Flashtool.Pain in the ass.
Wish the end of the month would just come already

Are there still no 'complete' 2.3.x ROMs out there for X10? I got an arc and stopped following J's CM7 the ROM progress.
I think the official X10 Gingerbread will be very good if arc's FW is anything to go by.
I have a dig bick You read that wrong |

Ricky D They are so close.3 main problems. It varies from person to person.
Phone doesn't enter Deep Sleep.
Can't connect to Wi-Fi.
Phone reboots itself after battery hits below a certain percentage.(different for everyone)
Camera/Video is still a work in progress.
I've just re-installed the CM7.0.3 Gingerbread 2.3.3.Gonna stick it out and get this bitch working. It just rebooted when my battery hit 26% but seems ok now.No problem with Deep Sleep and no problem with wifi.Benchmark average of 1550.Nice and fast. Its a good ROM overall.J's done a good job.

just one more month!
i can't wait... for some reason my battery has started to drain a lot quicker lately .. it all just started very suddenly. i haven't changed how i use my phone at all but i go from 100% down to 25% in a day with my normal use where it used to only go down to about 70%.
I uninstalled every app i've installed recently to see if it makes a difference.. i hope so. i would rather not have to reflash until gingerbread is available.

i am facing something similar every 5 to 6 days if i do not reboot the phone,
battery will go from 100% to 30% in 5 standby hours, while usually will be 95%, even the cpu is not under load
i have been rebooting the phone once a week to avoid it.
now for the past two weeks i am having something weird
i put the sound off before i sleep, woke up at morning on a phone call at maximum ringer sound even the ringer is muted
anyone has any idea? |

@20545zR16 I Haven't tried rebooting yet... I will try that after my next full charge and see if that makes a difference. So far after installing those apps, it hasn't made much of a difference and after normal use today.. about 6 hours after I unplugged my phone at 100%, it's already at 40%, which is pathetic as I've only made 3 phone calls today. Will report back.
@Hobbs, that's great! I'm curious what the official rom will produce as far as performance. I am really excited.
Just a general report... I replaced my touch digitizer a few weeks ago because I cracked the original. Using scotch brand double sided invisible tape isn't enough apparently or I need to make it set more because the bottom portion is coming off and there's a tiny gap. I'm gonna see if I can find better tape to use or perhaps some kind of glue. I just haven't done anything about it since it's such a pain to break everything down again just to get to the touch digitizer. I'll report back once I do. As far as responsesiveness of the replacement digitizer, it works fairly well. I get inconsistent touches around the edges, in particular the right most edge when looking at the phone from the front in a vertical orientation. Sometimes, I'll get touch stalls and keys will remain pressed when i'm not touching it and it is a bit more fickle about my finger tip. If my finger is too dry, for some reason it doesn't register as well. I do have a screen protector on it. Just a standard one, nothing special. I'm hoping once I fix the gap, it'll fix the touch too. Perhaps something is being registered that shouldnt be.

@205 I can't even remember the speed of the 2.1 Rom anymore its been so long. The Froyo Rom I used averaged 1300+ so this Gingerbread Rom is slightly faster. Also feels a lot smoother. Its settled now and. Im not getting any more reboots or strange behaviour anymore. My plan is to use this 2.3.3 Rom until the official one is released. Then install the official and in the meantime Jerpelea and the boys at XDA can finalize these Gingerbread Roms with working cameras and video ect and then once they are complete and fully working flash again a custom Rom.The main reason is the speed these custom Roms have over the official.
@moogoo Who knows maybe this official SE Gingerbread is a flyer.Hope so.

First off, I may have already asked this question, and it haven't been solved yet...
I'm seriously in need of a good email app for my Xperia x10. One that have sync access to all my email, Hotmail, gmail, yahoo, etc. I can read my email, delete, on my phone that will also sync with my emails, so when I log on via computer, it will actually been "read", or "delete" already, w/out me having to do it again.
I think it's called POP3, and I don't like it.
I can do it with my ipod touch, but only via wi-fi, with it's built-in mail app, why not xperia? I'm getting mobile internet on my xperia soon, and want to be able to check emails on the go without wi-fi.
also, what is a good notes app, where I can save messages, not phone messages, although that would be nice to. I want to be able to write/type notes for reminder, then when sync to my phone, I can access it, via memory card, etc.

Hello Everyone!!
Bought a brand new SIM Free Unlocked X10 White for my self from Amazon.com for 380$.
The firmware details of the phone are
Firmware version - 2.1-update1
Baseband version - 2.0.46
Kernel version - 2.6.29 SEMCUser@SEMCHost#1
Build number - 2.0.A.0.504
is this the latest 2.1 firmware?
Also when i open the SEUS to update my phone, it shows 2 phones with X10's images. One says X10 and the other says SO-01B.Which one should i choose to update my phone via SEUS?
Also I think my phone is a nordic generic as it came with all the Manuals in Swedish. Correct me if i am wrong.
Thank You.

UPDATE: I went ahead and updated my phone via SEUS. I selected the X10 icon and not the SO-01B. Now my phone seems a lot smoother and snappier. Also got one finger zoom on the update.
Now my firmware details are
Firmware version - 2.1-update1
Baseband version - 2.1.67
Kernel version - 2.6.29 SEMCUser@SEMCHost#1
Build number - 2.1.B.0.1
I think i was wrong about the Firmware region being Nordic Generic. Because i remember now that there was a very recent 2.1 update for X10 which was reported by X10 users having German Firmware. See the below link.
http://www.xperiax10.net/2011[....]ate-rolling-out-to-xperia-x10/
The firmware details listed on the above site exactly match mine.
Thanks. |

Xperia X10 Gingerbread update to bring new kernel, 16M colours and unlocked bootloader?..
Whilst us Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 owners await the official Android Gingerbread 2.3 update to appear (hopefully next month), speculation is building on what the update may bring. Interestingly, there are rumours abound in a number of forums that suggest the X10 bootloader will be unlocked. We’ve got no hard evidence on this, just some intensifying chatter.
Also, a recent hands-on video of the update in Thailand appears to confirm that the update will bring 16 million colour support along with a new kernel. We don’t read Thai, but around the middle of the video, it appears to show the number 16 next to the 4-inch screen specs. It could be something else, it could also be a mistake, but sure enough we’ll find out soon. Check out the video and pics below.

Ohhhhh.....why look so surprise?
It was write that same data since March 2010 (mind you to look EXIF on my photo)
(and actual sold happened in around June/July 2010) and Galaxy S killed 'em from inside out
Don't rely on such a advert paper, people around here much preferred higher number than better user experience
and lower price tag match with higher number, yeah!! what a perfect match
and that's why Samsung gain their influence every corner of market and very popular here, except for Apple's iPhone
One matter, local here never push real hard for figure sell unlike other brands
they should active more if still wanna survive here, real bad!
