Eish,I'm stuffed up!3 days ago we had heavy rainfall here in Nelspruit and my roof had a leak, right on top of my PC,and my monitor is dead.Luckily the computer managed to escape the water. Now l'm using an old 15inch monitor & the manufacture date at the back of the cover dates back to 1994.It's doing the job but it's so small and old. Anyway How'z everybody doing this Sunday.I just finished watching Poseidon and I spotted a nice Nokia, not sure which model but it had a large screen that looks like the P8,9xx with keypad removed.I think it not out yet.

@ wanqa, i have posted links to that mysonik page before, ages ago. They have updated since. I used to be on it daily for new games, but the new games have become less and less. But this is definately one of the best links. Will check out the other at work tomorrow.
So on the whole nintendo plumber 2002 and 2004 thing, lets assume the plumber was actually a cop and he had a nokio gun, the nokio gun being the safe gun, the commercial gun, the one recommended by the boss because it is more likely to not shoot him in the foot or something. What makes this gun safe? Well, it has a safety lock. Now if you want to shoot you have to un-safety it first. When you shoot it automatically switches on the safety again. If you take more than 2 seconds to shoot it turns on the safety again. So in essence, it is a slow gun. Yep, it kills better and more blood, but it is slow. And for some people that is what makes all the difference. The business world does not wait for you to unlock your phone. So to each his own:)____

Now on my personal reason for preferring my handset-it does what i need and want it to do, and its screen is much brighter than any nokia i have ever seen. And that is when it is dimmed as much as possible. Some of the much newer nokia handsets are getting to an acceptable level on this, but really.
So, a question, i wonder if Mario has shares in Nokia? He seems to be constantly promoting it. Why else? Lets face it, marketing is big, and i will not put it past Nokia buy people to market them.

Howzit jmash.
I think the handset you are referring to is the Nokia 7710.
http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_7710-921.php
It wasn't a big success for Nokia, nor was it on the market for long. MTN stocked them for a short time as well back in late 2005, if memory serves me correctly. You still get the odd one popping up on places like eBay.
Indeed a nice fightback by The Proteas.
@ Kryptik,
Unlike myself, the UK very seldom has such bad wind.
13 people have died so far, including a toddler when a wall came down.
As mentioned in my post yesterday, the house was fortunately undamaged; all the roof tiles still seem to be in place etc. However, because the Poms use wooden wall slats/ panels between the concrete pillars, the wind played havoc with these. I will need to replace 4 of mine. Some of the other home owners in our street have a lot more to replace...
Why they don't just use complete concrete walls, as we do in SA, between properties here?!
Fair enough, they look quite nice, but one has to 'treat' the wood now and again with an anti-weathering/water-proofing stain/varnish, and replace some of them after such freak weather. They're not too expensive, about 15 (approx R200) a panel, but I'd rather pay more for concrete walls and be done with it.
@ Francois,
Regarding mysonik, oops, my fading memory, I guess.

@ Kryptik,
Some of the damage across neighbours' and our yard/s.
Taken with the N73:
Using generous amounts of bricks to prevent the panels that need replacing from flying around:

I read about this phone on a mag a while ago & they said is going to be Nokia's flagshiph mobile computing handset, but it doesn't have a touch screen. If my memory serves me correctly it has a 5mp camera as well. _________________ N-gage>Now P800,patiently waiting for W950i

@ jmash,
LOL, shows you how close I was following Poseidon when we took the DVD out, I guess... I remember the scene now, the toppie waiting anxiously for the call, then later throws the N80 overboard from the open deck.
Anywayz, here you go: I found the perfect link as regards cellphones in movies mfowethu, and according to the site it's a Nokia N80 (3mp but without auto-focus):

@ GUCCI,
Ya, I'm going through my insurance policy to see if the perimeter wall are covered, but I'm not gonna hold my breath. We're very fortunate that the damage has only been to a few back yard wall panels.
Good luck with catching up the schoolwork, boet.

I felt physically ill when that dude tossed his phone overboard!!
Lol Wanqa, that damage reminds me of the wind we had a few years ago. (not the same wind we experienced when you guys were last here ) A neighbour's garage roof came unstuck, and seeing that he was at work i clambered up onto the boundary wall, held on for dear life as i hammered home some nails, then loaded some blocks onto the sheets for good measure. Nearly a year later, as we were standing outside his gate he remarked to me that he wondered why the former owner had left those cement blocks on the garage roof as they seemed a tad unsightly. Very very perceptive chap, lol

@ Kryptik,
Ja-nee, that wind back then was quite something.
Would love to have watched that part of Poseidon when the movie first came out, while being in the same cinema as Mario... Just to see his reaction, of course...
@ da brixsta,
You must be one happy Gooner tonight; easy on those Amstels.
I can't wait to wind up the ManUre supporters at work tomorrow.

We had some pretty hectic winds here the other night, but nothing really damaging. Every now and again the storms act up, and there is some damage.
So anyone know where i can find a list of the scheduled black-outs? Will scan the papers just now. Good time to get some solar panels. Would be perfect to maybe run pcs and fridges on, if they can handle it. South Africa needs some serious infrastructure development and soon. Lots of people are coming up in this country and cities are growing. So 2010 is coming, and never mind that if it happens or not, our citizens needs services. What is the worst that could happen? More jobs? Oh dear! Telkon would just hate that!

Some serious-looking wheels there KBR. Last time i saw the likes of so much expensive rolling metal gathered at one place was with the S.A. Open when the golfers were taken for a parade along the beachfront.
