@ Siosal,
Ya, as we know, Nokia already refers to their smartphones like the N-series as 'multimedia computers', deeming the term 'mobile' as passe.

Yes, but that is only the N series. Seriously, Cellphones are only an inch away from replacing a persons wallet.

@786KBR: And now they're calling Herschelle Gibbs a racists for referring to Pakistani supporters as "bloody animals" after they verbally abused Paul Harris near the boundary.

So you guys think Herschelle Gibbs is a racist?

@da wanqsta: Dunno what's happening with amabhakabhaka...they just seem to have lost their spark.

@ Mario,
Is that selective reading, boet? Since you last posted on here 9 days ago,

http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=74383&start=9225

there's been a variety of cellphone-related topics covered here.

Yes, there are other non-phone related things discussed here too amongst it all, but I hope your comment was a light-hearted jest...
it would seem a bit rich otherwise...
I'm not perfect at all, but I feel that some of us here do what we can to keep this thread alive, enjoyable, friendly and informative, even if it means off-cellphone topics at times.

Yep, like my apple-tart toting boss

I've not the vaguest clue what goes on at myadsl, having visited it once and only once. If some posters there make racist remarks, it's up to the site admin to do something about it. If it continues unabated, indications would be that admin either don't consider the posts to be racist in tone or content, or they don't give a toss. I'd steer clear of such a site, should either of the above prove to be the case...

Just my Zim$0.000000001 worth...

@mario: Yes my brother, sometimes the truth hurts. 786KBR was expressing is opinion on something that's been bothering him for weeks.
Here's a cellphone issue that needs to be discussed: Vodacom's data network was down last night. Which meant I couldn't post on forums discussing Herschelle Gibbs' two match ban.

I say Herschelle knows he shouldnt have said what he said, even as Smith says he was provoked, it doesnt matter, its in the ICC code of conduct therefore it should have been avoided or said away from the stump mics.

I agree. Still wasn't racist though. We nearly got run of the road when I was younger by a native african lady who didn't look at the traffic. My dad got out of the car and said:
"That was a stupid thing to do, you almost killed my family!"

She called my dad (who is british) a racist. He asked her how was he racist. She said that he called her stupid because she was black.

Forgive me but race is used as a crutch in S.A. And it's bull.

I tried posting last night, but it wouldn't. Could only read.

This forum is here to discuss mobile issues, but we are a bunch of odd friends that despite being phone geeks can talk about other things as well. Nothing wrong with that is there? I am more likely to skip info on a new phone i am not interested in than skipping whatever personal blurbs the guys post. That is why this forum is so good.

So the article on time's website i linked to is in this weeks issue. Got pictures of it,will post them later. Okay, i am really busy, so later.

@786KBR: Cricketers should not cop abuse from spectators for simply doing their jobs. Herschelle should not have called them "animals" but I understand in what context it was said. Try abusing a Pakistan player next time you're in Lahore and you'll get way more than being chucked out the ground.

The idiots will always be amongst us, doubtlessly. They'll find any reason to use the race card whenever things aren't going their way. Sorry to say it but i don't tolerate their shit even for a moment. Usually i'm a pacifist but when somebody starts using race as an argument i give em hell.

Absolutely, and I also agree with Siosal with the example that he posted. It's total bull when someone is accused of (automatically) being a racist because you've had obvious reason to confront someone of another race about something that they have done that is dangerous or wrong or whatever.
Fair enough, unfortunately SA's chequered past has instilled many pre-conceived notions in some people, but the word 'racist' is, on occasions like the one Siosal mentioned, too easily bandied about, the word being (ab)used as a reactionary tool to threaten (ie. legal action or prosecution) and/or generically label! How bloody wrong is that?!
