the only was the r380 and that was years ago. the sadly never released quartz device would have been another option. i dont think that x1 has got anything to do with any smartfones

no i think not.
The worlds first commercial smartphone the R380s was bassed on today's symbian. And the symbian os (uiq) is still the best smartphone OS.
The X1 is a smartphone that will exist along side the symbian smartphones.
