I remember there was a topic about the W850 having a small crack between the down and center nav keys, wel my frends W850 had that but that crack is now very very very visable and
it has extended its nw a crack frm the top of up nav key to the center, and then from the center to below the down nav key, and he dropd hz W850 once on a concrete floor nw the screens cracked and he has taken it in for repair after only having the fone for about 1month,i have to say the W850 has very poor build quality, my frend stil has his P910i, Samsung P300, SHARP GX25, Samsung ZV30 and now Nokia N91, all of these hav lastd especialy P910 wich he has had for 2years and 2months nw but stil in gud condition,so W850 realy has dissapointed us

@ GUCCI,
That's a bit disappointing to hear about the W850i cracks. Here's the thread relating to it:

Talking of build quality, the N70 is one of the best phones I've had in terms of it's build. It's awesome, I've dropped it many times, on hard concrete and other surfaces and apart from the obvious scratches everything is still in fine working order.

My phone fell for the first time yesterday, onto a tiled floor. Thank heavens no nicks, scratches or worse!

My K800 dropped into a gocarting circuit, got hit by one of the cars, hit the barrier then went back on to the track and got hit again, got one scratch and a dent on the silver surround.
But It doesnt bother me much, give it some character

My phone gets dropped so much....It is bad really, but it works, and the scars are minimal. I bet next time it goes in for some reason to the vodashop they will scratch it more than it is scratched already, which means they are going to have to fix their scratches...lol!

@ Francois,
LOL, it's strange for me to see a more modern London TX1 taxi with a Gauteng number plate on.
About build quality, the Nokia 3230 that I had had a decent enough build quality, but I have to agree with brix that models like the N70 (and N73) have excellent build quality; top class 'fit and finish' with a very obvious quality feel to them.
A colleague has a 6233, and the quality again is very evident. I'm still a fan-boy, but credit where credit is due.

@tokoloshe: Recently I've been quite abusive to my phone...paint has chipped off in an area just above the light sensor. Also on the side and on the "hump" of the slide mechanism.

@786KBR: Here's my take on the MyADSL forums. They're good when they discuss tech related issues but once someone starts a political thread all the racists come out the woodworks.
Prime example is the thread on "white economic empowerment"...It's crazy because after being in charge of this country for almost 400 years some white peeps somehow still think the world owes them something.
And with government's crazy policies on BEE and AA its easy to blame someone else for your shortcomings.
Sometimes I get the impression that those whities over on the MyADSL forums want all of us to be equal but only if they keep all their advantages which were gained through centuries of abuse of black people. I say those discussions should not be deleted...let the racists whinge and whine all they want but South Africa won't change for their sake.
