I still don't understand what your point was exactly, but I would much rather talk about Christmas anyway. Merry Christmas!
@sorac
London is a safe city, but there are obviously concerns over terrorist attacks. Terrorists could strike anywhere though, I for one will not be letting them put me off having a joly good time at Hogmanay!

@sorac - If you change your plans through fear of terrorist attacks, then they have already won without having to blow a single building up.
Stick two fingers up at the terrorists, go to London and have a damned good time and don't worry. Fear of fear itself is a very powerful force. If that makes any sense.

The IRA were murdering people for years in London (long before this more recent terrorist situation). Remember, you are much, much more likely to be killed crossing the road than by a terrorist outrage but I've not heard anyone say they're going to stop crossing roads. I hope everyone can enjoy the holiday season. Be aware, but don't be scared.

2 people have been stabbed to death within 1km of my flat this week. This is very unusual.

Quite sure, London is one of the safest cities in the world. I doubt they have many more murders than any other large city on the planet. The crime rate is certainly well below that of major American cities.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Love of the dead does not last,
because the dead will not return.
But love of the living
is in every moment fresher than a bud,
both the inward and the outward eye.
Choose the love of that Living One
who is everlasting, who offers you
the wine that increases life.
Do not say "We have no entrance to that King."
Dealings with the generous are not difficult
