Actually, we just don't have the OBEX profile of Bluetooth, I can receive files via BT from my computer using BT FTP. Mac's BT File Exchange automatically detects the lack of OBEX on my X10 Mini then asks if I'd want to continue using FTP instead. The file pops up on the root directory of the sdcard.

I honestly am so surprised everyone finds the volume of the phone low... I usually have mine set one or two notches below max cuz it does get loud. Even in the car and I have a relatively loud sound system and listen to metal while driving.

I usually use the softer ringtones (luxury or tinker bell) and I get by fine with my phone in my pocket while in the mall.

Make sure that you set the ringer AND notification volumes at the same level... This is differerent from the media volume. And be careful that other apps aren't messing with your notification settings. If you have your own mail app, make sure to disable the built in Email AND Gmail notifications otherwise it may conflict and end up muting the notification all together. Same goes for any 3rd party notifiers that may conflict with your own ringtone.

Not sure I'm following you. Who has complained about X10 mini volume (can't remember I have see such complain) ? And what volume are we talking about (ring volume, external speaker volume, headset volume) ?

Odd, but I am able to receive files from non-Android devices. I beamed a number of pictures from a Nokia X6 to my Mini Pro just two days ago.

I've seen a few complaints in other forums (aside from @idumbakumar) about the volume being too low... I'm not sure if they meant the X10 Mini or the Mini Pro... or the X10 (but I see it in the X10 Mini forums)... I'm not sure which volume they're talking about either, whichever the "volume hack" is meant to work on... either way, I find the volume on the Mini Pro quite loud... whether it be the call volume or ringer volume.

I've got the mini and the mini pro and imo theres no need whatsoever for the speaker volume to be increased on either phone. Ringer, media, alarm etc are already loud enough. The bigger x10 on the other hand is different. The speaker volume is awful on it imo. Have owned that model as well.
I tried sniffing coke once but didnt like it. The bubbles kept going up my nose

Rookwise, I guess I misunderstood the posts on the volume issue then... Most likely they were referring to the X10 and not the Minis. Thanks.

@ros, check that your predictive text, or auto-capitalization isn't kicking in when typing usernames or passwords

Hey wey nard, you can't pair it or it's paired but can't don anything with it? If your phone is paired already, you'll need to download a file manager from the market place to be able to exchange files with your PC
