Hi all,
I do believe that Mizzle informed us that the delay was not down to SE but due to SE having to wait on Microsoft to finish and release the OS didn't he? So maybe he is the one that you should be asking what version of WM it will be running, although if he can divulge this information or not is a different matter.

imo se wanted to pop up with sg great, actaully, they did it. here we have sg new, interesting and exciting, but to show around a proto, make se fans the feeling again, that se is able to create sg useful, not only cheap midrange devices and then tell them : u can have this in 1 years, thats not fair... they should have wait monthes ansd show it weeks before the launch. now we just sit and wait and hope, that on some way htc can offer a wm os for it, that se can manage the right fw and so on... one co. is pointing on the other, thats all atm

First of all Dogmann, there is NO delay. Sony Ericsson has said it's going to be launched in 2nd half of 2008, which is still 4+ months to go. So, where's the delay, if you don't mind me asking? I've always thought to delay somethig was "to cause to be later or slower than expected or desired". No?
Also, as you might have noticed, Microsoft has yet to announce the OS, and everything else is done on the phone. SE has pretty finished up their touch on the OS, the hardware is pretty much done as well, with a few exceptions like the battery, so all that's needed is for Microsoft to announce it and finish it.

Or they could wait some months and be the first or one of the first on the market with the new OS.

i dont think so... htc devices have got more experineces with wm os, why microsoft risk a brnad new wm in a device, which is first on its own?

Dogmann,
First of all, a small welcome and a big farewell for when you'll be leaving... again.
What's better about E90 than X1? Oh, and just so you know. It's not SE's fault the device won't come out soon. It's Microsoft's fault, and it all depends on when they'll announce the OS. Which was also why didn't state Q3 / Q4, but instead did a "2nd half 2008" statement."
Not coming out soon is another way of saying it is not ready and will be delayed is it not?

Most definitely not. If you say that "not coming out soon" is the same as "delayed", then there's something wrong with your general understanding of words and their meaning. Delayed means that something that was scheduled for something at time A, won't be able to make it to time A, but instead time B.

to put it short, and make it understandable for you, if something is delayed, it has to be due an expected time. And being that the expected time is anywhere from 4 to 10 months, I wouldn't exactly call it a delay.
Definition:
1. To postpone until a later time; defer.
2. To cause to be later or slower than expected or desired: Heavy traffic delayed us.

@Boba
Is that even a serious question? Obviously, every one should know the answer to that.

@ mizzle You said:

So yes it is delayed, as it should already be in my pocket!

Boba,
What did you find not being finished or very close to being finished, apart from the software?
