My N70 seems to have suffered none of the adverse effects of branding, I'll take it I'm one of the lucky ones. That's one for Nokia or a fluke of nature. |

Seeing the menus for the w900i in the bond movie just pissed me off with my branding. I saw a sharp phone from new zealand(my gfs brother is here in Pretoria) for the last week so far, and our menu icons look the same. It is a stupid concept, and i hate it. The original icons look so much nicer. Now if only i could edit my icons, then i would have been fine.
My friend got the nokia theme editor. It was a huge download, but he says you can change just about everything. That is cool. Making your own themes is nice, make the thing fit with your style.
So i am online again with my phone. Always remember, when disconnected, restart the phone, that should fix your net:) felt so stupid.lol!

@786KBR: So hows the W710 compared to other Walkman phones that you've played with? If only they had made it thinner it would've been a world beater. And to think :se: had the audacity to add an armstrap accessory to the phone for when you're out jogging or in the gym

Ya, the W710 (24.5mm) is 3mm thicker than a D600. Doesn't sound like too much but still...
BTW, should be an interesting day at Newlands tomorrow.

Well I finally have an opportunity to practise my limited Xhosa in the UK again. We have a new teacher-assistant and she hails from Katlehong, although she grew up near Umthatha. (Mthatha?..Umm-Thatha? )
Her name is Oumatjie. ( I had to help with basic phonics for some of the other colleagues to pronounce this, ie. Oh-My-Key. Seems to have helped...)
A few years ago, we often had SA supply (relief/cover) teachers in and out the school, but we hardly see any more at the school nowadays. Even my good mate and English colleague James has noticed this. Maybe it's all to do with the Working Holiday Visa changes, but I'm not sure.

It was only now since i have been cut off for the last while. When they put it back on restart the phone.I never do these days. This replacement is way less buggy then my first w900i,
So i am sitting outside as per usual. Two guys walked by,and i can see by the way they walk they are up to no good.Went to look that they dont go into any houses down our street. They looked but they might have seen me cos they ducked the street. The Gauteng cops got a whole bunch of new patrol cars yesterday, quite a few millions worth of wheels.Have not seen one of them out and about yet. Not one patrol past my place. And Thabo made it clear yesterday that he wont replace ministers who underperform.

I wasn't watching the cricket at all, but caught the tail-end of a comment by the radio announcer about a batsman not stepping up to the crease in time, and some penalty involved. Can anybody shed some light? (i'm trying to avoid the news sites, about to leave for a week at the water's edge and i'm trying to maintain the euphoria)
I'm not superstitious, merely mildly stitious. |

An armstrap?
In the box comes, yes the armstarp x2, a cradle that uses the armstrap and where you can put the phone onto, the best headsets on any phone!!
They wrap around your ears, fit perfect, with gyming, its so comfortable you can dangle the phone while its hanging on your ears and you wont feel it.
It also comes with these satelite speakers bass reflex system, very powerful for its size.
All that in the box when you buy the phone.
My problem. I finally see what all the complaints about walkman phones are about.
The sound quality is BAD very bad, bass boost is crap on this phone, no clarity at all, theres echos where theres not supposed to be echos, overall i compared it with the K750 and K800 just on sound quality.
The K750 kicks the W710s ass in the sound quality department, all round 10x better!!!
Btw the W710 has this cool footstep counter!
