I have used multiple video players all with the same result. And dvd's should play in general. My only thought now i sthat it's possible my nforce drivers hav egone ape. I have downloaded some new ones and will install them during my lunch...

@ GUCCI. Dude, my advice is to hold off if it has Vodfone branding. cos my P990 is giving me GRIEF with its current software. im heading to Vodaworld on sunday and i will probably give it in to be unbranded. i spoke to a Sony rep and he asked me why i havnt unbranded it yet. so if he told me that, it says how bad vodafone software really is. |

Yip shoulda got it unbranded staright away thats what I did! Vlive on the P990 way to bad.
@ Gucci yes Voda has the W950 I have one to, but cant post on esato with it for some reason. Its unbrannded and is much better than the M600 apart from the 4gig memory.
The N91 music is in testing.

You guys are the best yol are helping me alot i mite just wait to see what SE has pland for 2007,im also going to take my W900 for debranding and ask if they hav new screens that hav the WALKMAN® logo because this Vodafone logo looks horrible,do yol know how to setup e-mail on Vodacom for W900? i need email settings, OH AND IM on a TALK 120s CONTRACT

Anyone got an idea where we can get pictures of South African violence? It is for a security company web site the web designers are working on...
@ Siosal, it could be the drivers...First get all these basic things working. Once you got it, then proceed to install the rest of your apps, because it might end up that you format again. But the codec collision thing is the most likely problem. I will ponder more...
About the w950 thing, if you can remove*delete) the content they put on, then it means it should be unlocked, i think. ? i ask...

It was my nforce drivers. I just updated them and the problem went away. Amazingly annoying and yet...

@ GUCCI.011, I doubt they would even have different face plates..if they do, let me know, cos I hate it this way. Also, e-mail settings seem impossible to come by.I have kept my eye on a few threads for that. Anyone else know maybe?
I just got the new Sony Ericsson Themes Creator...wow! it works well! Happened to be busy making a theme when I got it, and this one looks so much better, and will see how it works just now.

There won't be too much luck with genuine W900i housings I think; if you are able to actually order some from  directly, I have a feeling that they would charge a ridiculous sum for them. I could be wrong, but I'm fairly confident that this will be the case...
There is the option of places like eBay, but el cheapo Chinese fascia and housing copies are (usually) an absolute bugger to fit due to inaccurate moulds and flanges etc. and thus poor fitting, to the point that some independent cellphone repair shops will only fit genuine ones, refusing to touch any aftermarket items, as was the case with my P900...

I dont know about the W900 I Know with recent phones they have both softwares, and external branding not sure bout that maybe the shop in Vworld can help.
I just sent in my K800 to get the new software finally, they really really stuffed up my phone last time Im hoping they do a good job this time.
Apart from all the other phones I use, I opted to try out the new W710, very cool and funky phone I like!

I was put off the W710i by its thickness and lack of auto-focus on the 2mp cam. It is still quite a funky phone, the grey-white-orange one looks the biz IMO. It hasn't been a best-seller here though,

What do you mean alot of things for it? It wasnt out for very long maybe thats why.

Its not very thick its around the same as a D600, I like the design and quality of this phone, its like a fully speced car on the outside all the right branding in the right places and new and different colours with nice features, if they only made a high end phone based on this one.
No autofocus really sucks, but the screens not very good compared to a W850 so you hardly notice the blurs. Good and bad point that!

when i say alot of things i mean housing,firmware which apparently wil not be updated any more,and the phone its self,ye that must be why,when i got the phone it had already been discontinued but i was lucky to get the last1 in stock at the vodashop,i wish SE could release firmware to let it support A2dp it would help so much

there is little the branding stops, but it is vitals, such as removing mo the mofu'in meerkat from my phone, editing the vodafone live settings, and the menu interface...that is my biggest gripe...
thanx for that link...i would not want to open my phone...quite a hard one to shell i heard...
anyway, later folks...maybe i will post this weekend...have fun!

Well now, this sucks! Just been to the local Vodashop and they say they're having a problem logging the service call because the phone isn't on the system yet,. It's taken them 4 days to determine it's not on the system!!!! Like what the hell!?!
So now on monday I'm going to phone SE and complain/make a scene and see if I can just get it swapped out. Hopefully they'll oblige and replace it (with an unbranded one, hence the reason for going straight to SE).
If that doesn't work, once I finally get it back, would it be worth getting it unbranded? I've noticed nothing that has any signs of branding other than the startup screen and the Mo(fo) pics (which I've deleted). I'm not used to branded phones so I dont know what to look for (IE. what it stuffs up). |
