Anyone know where or how I can get .rgo files converted or exported to any accessible form of text? .rgo files are smart phone or pda books...

Eish Wanqa, i thought i heard the roar of those bikes when they were here...

@Francois, offhand i'm not sure about where you could convert those Repligo files, boet. Maybe post a query at Prodigits s60? If anybody knows it'll be one of those guys...

Ja nee, women drivers fall into several classes. I've discovered that the BEE type of female driver here also tends to crawl along in her big old luxmobile, with little regard for other road-users...

Edit- barely had i posted this than i had to trundle along a rural road on the outskirts of town... I was behind a big black SLK going at a sedate 50km/h... which was straddling the centre-line of the narrow roadway... in a 100km/h zone. The queue behind me stretched on and on and on... lol, it's tough being patient sometimes!

Esato cellphone seller 'scom' is selling new W950i's (originally on 3, but he's got rid of all the locks and crap) for 235 (approx R3290).
Not too shabby...

@ GUCCI,
Yes the W950i certainly is; Kitsune, 786KBR, jmash et al could fill you in on all the details of this handset in SA, I'm sure.

Dunno about the N91 music edition though; it's still only available for pre-order from places like mobilefun in the UK, so I don't know when they'll be available in SA. Again, perhaps 786KBR would know, or celltech if he ever pops in here again.

I'm not too sure about the 8gb N91... My best buddy got his 4gb recently, after moving from the Dark Ages aka Nokia 3650 in which he'd been living for the past 5 years or so. He's now rediscovered the joys of Symbian, it seems... Apparently he's renting a room at the Dotsis Motel, easier to just stay on one place

Since I've rediscovered it and acquired the N73, I've been checking-in to The Dotsis Motel quite a lot over the past few days as well, and once I found some sought-after games that are now available for S60v3, I'm as happy as...

Hey hey

You won't believe how much s**t I've been through trying to sort my phone out. Cell C retained it for a month, only to return it and say that if I want it repaired I need to agree to pay (and that will take another month). If they'd just told me in the beginning, (1) that they take so long, and (2) that they weren't planning on fixing it, I'd happily have taken it elsewhere.

I feel a tad annoyed.

On the off chance that their are some fellow computer nerds in the house I need another perspective on my problem.

I formatted my pc and put XP on. Everything is perfect except that whenever I tell it to play a movie (DVD, Video CD, mpg, avi, 3gp) it pretty much crashes. Just says opening and slows down to the point of being useless.

I have changed my gfx drivers to the latest ones. I have done a virus scan. I have Re-formatted. I just can't figure why it is like this. Music and other media are fine.

Any Ideas?

@ wanqa, I have had 2 days of DotSys, and have only made a 1 book dent in a 4-book series I found, so I think I should avoid it...let me know about any cool apps, but I have gotten tons of stuff for my friend, he is still floating 1metre above the ground from being overwhelmed with apps...lol!

@ GUCCI, how are you planning to get your phone? On contract or cash? That offer wanqa showed looked pretty good. I don't know about the branding, but maybe a better question would be, and (cough cough) this is for everyone, do they vodafone brand UIQ phones? i would be interested to know. I hate hate HATE hate the Vodafone branding on mine, and want it off ASAP.(if only i could get that fugly vodafone logo below the screen replaced by the walkman logo...)

@ psycho, make sure to go complain at www.hellopeter.com. I think the fact that it took so long and that was the answer is swak service, and they should sweat it out a bit, since reputation is everything. Who knows, maybe they even make it up to you...but be persistent when Cell C contacts you.

@ Siosal, have you tried using VLC media player? (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) If so, and it fails, then is has to be something with the codecs. I find people sometimes install these codec packs that actually screw your videos up more than anything. VLC usually seems to play everything without having to install additional stuff. Hope it helps a little. Keep me updated, maybe we can sort this out.

Anyway, I convinced a friend yesterday that she does not want the MotoQ http://www.motorola.com/motoi[....]details.jsp?globalObjectId=113
I mean, with phones like the HTC TyTn and the w950i around, why Moto?lol! She turned from cursing SE to singing the w950s praise in a matter of 20 minutes...

@ GUCCI
You're looking at R2100 for the W950 on a weekender+ package.

@francoislr
No, they only Vodacom brand them, they put on some stupid Vodacom animation that's so crappy that when you first turn on the phone you think half of the screen is faulty and then they waste some of your memory by putting pictures of Mo(Fo) the retarded Meerkat on the phone.
Otherwise they've changed nothing else.

francoislr is right, it's definatly codecs, all you need to get 90% of videos to running on your PC is 4 codecs.
nVidia DVD decoder
nVidia PureVideo Decoder
Koepi's Xvid
DivX 6.1.1 Pro

Install those and you'll have no problems.

Although if it does still do it after trying out different codecs then it's probably hardware.
