Sony accidently announced the Tablet Z4 on Xperia Lounge then quickly pulled not before someone snapped a screen shot revealing it will have a 2k display

Looks like a stretched Z3 rather than a larger Z3 Tablet Compact. Plus, if that power button is anything to go by, it's very slim, compared to the Z3 anyway.

^^ 2k display + industry leading battery performance only sony can make it happen. look promising.  so after all, i suppose we can expect they WILL make a smaller shorter press conference. we can't possibly believe that sony will announce a new high end z directly at the show floor. no way.
moreover, z4 should have the same design language of z4 tablet if sony keep their tradition. another ob evolution. no new design language. not a bad thing afaic. |

If I'm correct the Tablet Z4 will be the 1st ever tablet to use the SD810? (providing it uses the SD810) it does say the 'latest ultra fast processor' in the screen shot.

looks like Sony used Z3 design for Z4 tablet, I really hope Z4 phone will look a lot different than this. The Sony picture leaked showed a very promising new Elemental design assuming it wasn't just some ads concept for a movie. Chrome/ shinny looking frame makes it very elegant and classy. |

Not very impressed with Z4 tab (especially if the back is anything but metal). Considering Z4 is going to look exactly the same as Z3, I think Sony is not really trying hard-enough to compete because they already know their own fate.... S6 is shaping up rather nicely, even for a lagdroid phone, so I'm curious to see the new Tab SII  |

Tab S2 will be a 9.7 inch devices 4:3, basically like an Ipad.

Smooth metal frame is sexy as hell. I really don't mind if Z4 and the Z4 Tablet have this (even though it is the same as the Z3). The uncovered waterproof USB ports are a perfect improvement to the design.
I may have to put a thousand pounds to the side for the Z4 set.
I never put faith that Elemental design leak. It look way too much like a fan concept. I know the rumours were that it came from the Sony Pictures leak, but nothing about it adds up. Personally I want the tablet and phone to have the same design, maybe even down to a glass back for the tablet, it makes the series a complete and consistent set.

@Ebato adding a metal back to the Tablet Z4 would do nothing but add unnecessary weight to it. Sony are well known for having light weight, well built premium tablets. Weight in a tablet is very important ask any one who has a 1st or 2nd generation iPad, they got very heavy very quickly and over long periods of time they became uncomfortable to hold. I own a Tablet Z and a Z3 Tablet Compact and both feel premium in the hand and because they're so light weight I can use either for long periods of time and my arms/hands don't get tired.

I need a tablet and this looks very classy and business. Hope the price is not sky high and I'll buy it. Was looking forward to the shiny metal frames tthough. |
