They need to integrate music unlimited and video unlimited into one package first of all - it's too easy to take one without the other.

They need tablets at different price points.

I hope they make their stores global as soon as possible. Even xbox music which just started recently, is expanding more quickly than them

Little off topic, but does somebody know the name of this concept by Ericsson? I even searched for days on google to find this single picture.

I am sure it will be better than the next iPhone but not GS4.
I really want them to make lot noise in camera department and kick every phones ass.
I hate it that they make the best sensor but they don't optimize it well

Do you know the specs for GS4? Or are you just guessing?

Nobody knows for sure but sony should be worried about S4 you know how much name samsung has made with galaxy series even though its a shit phone and not to forget how biased these tech writers are its either apple/samsung/HTC.

^Sharp does know how to make a great display, though awfully underpowered.

@Detox,

That is some good news regarding playstation. Its no small achievement to get even with xbox360 in terms of sales, considering it was a year late, low failure rates and at a higher price point.

In any case, I expect them to be in a much better position overall by next year. Their greater challenge lies in the US market. As that is where they are generally in a negative view and thus lower sales. If they can change that, then they will be much more profitable.

we can only hope DACHA.. we can only hope..

but it seems like Sony is pushing their models to the US much more than they have in the past.. so that is a good sign, i think. It's just a matter of WHEN they'll be available

It's really sad how all the tech sites are knowingly misinterpreting the Sony executive statement where he said Sony will come out with a flagship to compete with the likes of Iphone 5 and GS3. Everyone is ridiculing Sony now

That is all a pile of BS. Most of the writers of those articles are bloggers and they just copy stuff they have read written by others. One poorly written article spreads all over because of that.

Meh, what can ya do. If Sony can deliver on everything we've heard from Yuga, it will shut up those people in no time. As they can't even say when it will be announced yet, I do have to wonder how that will affect the actual release.

Yes, just like gsm arena, their statement is that Yuga and Odin will compete SGS3 and Iphone 5.
Well, the Xperia S and T already beat the SGS3 and the Iphone 5.

Sony don't mention compete SGS3 or Iphone 5.

Sony admits: Our phones can't compete
But promises iPhone and Galaxy S3 challenger is coming
By Owen Hughes 16 hrs ago

Sony Mobile sales chief Dennis van Schie has said that Sony will soon be releasing a handset to directly compete with the iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3.

Speaking to the Financial Times Deutschland, van Schie openly acknowledged that nothing in the Japanese firm's current lineup of phones could stand up to the likes of Apple and Samsung's flagship devices.

He told the German newspaper, "We will create, in the near future, a flagship model that can compete with Apple's iPhone and Samsung's Galaxy S3". A spokesperson for Sony confirmed that the contender would appear at CES and the Mobile World Congress in spring 2013.

Although this is great news for the Sony faithful, it may be the company should instead turn its attention to the next generation of smartphones, rather than trying to play catch-up.

It's already been beaten to the play by a long way, and if conjecture is anything to go by, both Apple and Samsung will be releasing the next incarnations of their bestselling smartphones next year, instantly casting a shadow over Sony's contender.

There have even been whispers that Apple's iPhone 5S could start going into production as early as next month, which already spells bad news for van Schie and his team.

Such comments are unlikely to sit well with owners of the recently-released Xperia T 'Bond Phone', which the Japanese firm has been touting as a handset worthy of consideration by today's smartphone buyers.

Sony is essentially trying to feel its way in the mobile space as a new brand, and despite raising fortunes since losing the Ericsson brand admissions like these, while honest, will do little to convince consumers it's a decent alternative.

Personally, I don't agree with him at all. How Snapdragon S4 Plus in dualcore configuration in current lineup can't compete in market?

Problem could be attitude to sale, not device?
