Thanks, boet. Did you delve in the 'Dinner For One' ritual on the TV tonight? Really wish they'd show it here...

Might be getting a new phone tomorrow..possibly venturing back to The Dark Side for a while...

@da wanqsta:Thankfully SABC1 got a sense of humour and banished "Dinner for One" to the rubbish bin. Happy 2007...da brixster is posting live and direct from a house party.

Lol Brix, Dinner For One is an institution! I didn't catch it last nite, but i watch it whenever i can. Hope you're enjoying the party, boet. Got home from midnite mass, then took a drive out to the beachfront.

Thanks for the concern and sorry for being so quiet just lately. Life's been rather hectic this past few weeks, plus I'm on leave so no internet access.
Phone's still stuffed up. my poor poor baby, just shows how volatile the UIQ3 OS is. I wanna go see if Vodacom is open tomorrow and if they have an SE Tool.

I'll go back to being an avid poster once I get back to work, minus the days we have registrations at the university.

Enjoy the rest of your week people!!

Finally, 2007 has arrived here too!
Continuous fireworks outside, at least the weather's let up for the festivities.

Good luck Kitsune; I wouldn't hold my breath about them being open tomorrow, and try record their bewildered expressions when you ask them if they have a SE Tool.
Anyway, hope you're able to sort it out soon.

Hope ya'll had a mello, easy first day of 2007. (and hopefully without too much babelaas...) I've started 2007 in a true smartphone-geeksta way, by buying a new smartphone from another esato member today in London. Yeah, as I mentioned yesterday, I've ventured back to The Dark Side with this new handset...until the camera-equiped M600i replacement or similar comes along; have too many concerns about the P990i as it is. Will be posting pics etc. of the new phone within the next few days or so. It's a N73. ;-) So let's see what Series 60 version 3 has to offer... The joys of being patient & rather buying after Christmas. The phone, brand new in box with proof-of-purchase, sim-free & unlocked, cost me £140 (approx R1960) after a little haggling. Bargain on a par with the T39m, IMHO....

Ola to all the chicos and chicas. It's a new year and new bad habits, so I've decided to take up posting instead of just reading. A special shoutout to my boet Kryptik and cuz Medusa. [addsig]

Yhu; The Tokoloshe's in our midst! Is it true that the Tokoloshe is so well-endowed that he has to sling his manhood over his shoulder?
So we have another of the Kryptik Clan on board.
You are most welcome here, boet!

Possibly the last of the P900 pictures that I'll be posting.

Nothing much, just a few snaps over the past week or so.

Taken on 24/12 on board the Woolwich Ferry in east London, taking us in the car from north of the Thames River to south.

The Thames Barrier in the far distance on a gloomy midday, taken from the ferry again:

A few nights before the 24th, many domestic flights were cancelled due to heavy fog that literally 'hung' over the whole area for several days, both day and night:

And then on to today. A clear (!), mild and blue skies, sunny new year's day. The weather's gone haywire this winter so far...

I'm phoning O2 tomorrow to request my 3G usim for the N73, so I'll still be using the P900 'till then at least. May even keep it with a spare sim in for forums like esato etc. when I'm away from a PC; still nothing better than scroll n' stylus.
However, no more crappy VGA pics or even 1.3mp pics to contend with.

After 2 years and 8 months, my P900 is no longer my primary phone. It has had an excellent innings, and has been the BEST, most reliable phone that I've owned to date, no question.

Now let's see what Carl Zeiss and 3.2 megapixels with autofocus is all about...

Hi Guys!

Welcome to Tokoloshe!!!

Hope all of you had a safe new years day!!

I'm at work and suffering from severe fatigue, will probably end up sleeping at my desk later on... My sisters kids are wearing me out, but still love them to bits. They talk and scream and shout non stop!!

So imagine you're at the Cango caves in Oudsthoorn enjoying your new years day and you end up getting stuck behind a fat woman for a LONG time.... Well, it happened yesterday! Read below, article appeared on news24.

----------------------
Woman freed from Cango Caves
02/01/2007 07:00 - (SA)

Johannesburg - An obese woman was freed ten hours after becoming trapped in a narrow passage in the Cango Caves, the Oudtshoorn metro said on Monday night.

"Normally guides tell people: 'If you are too big or small you can't go in.' I don't know why she went in there," said an unnamed spokesperson.

The woman was "fine", she said.

She was not taken to hospital.

Another 22 people were trapped with the woman in the tunnel more than a kilometre into the caves, reported SABC radio news.

They included a diabetic man to whom medication had to be taken.

A rescue team from George was understood to have cut away a part of the cave to free the woman after initial attempts to get her out.

@ all, happy new year from me...yes, back at the office...i need my bed!

@ Tokoloshe, welcome!

@ brix, sorry about the pics....i was in one of those "go big or go home" moods when I uploaded it...via dial up nogal;-)

@ Wanqa, my friend who got the N80, the girl he is interested in and actively getting to know got the N73 like 3 days before he got the N80. He says a lot of the options and functions seem to be the same. I am about to start looking for games for him.

So yeah, I had a quiet New Years...but 1am everyone usually gathers somewhere, at my house this time. Sat up the whole night.

My new years resolutions is always the same: to not have any resolutions.lol!

I, for once do not have much to say...
