Which one concern nigerians with heathrow airport. What is the % of nigerians that travel abroad?
I pity the share-holders of 9ja Banks! Now ALL of them will start copying Intercontinental Bank to "brand" London Buses and sub-ways. Meanwhile, what is the unique thing about these banks? They all offer the same kind of products. The latest craze is turning opening accounts into promos: win car, win generators, win laptops. Every Bank is doing it. Copy-copy.
BTW: I own Union Bank shares
@All Happy Holidays everyone. What are you planning to do during the hols? I am going to do some reading...

@mamba: We have lots of nigerians going out to heathrow but not as many coming back! Typical Naija man goes on a holiday/ school visa then just drop off the map after it expires. The heathrow move was just an ego thing. Anyhow, how many companies run to the papers when they commence advertising at heathrow? Its all ego. If they had thier branding across London Bridge, THAT would be news-worthy.
@coola: so madam finally let u come out to play!
@all:I think etisalat's internet restrictions played to the countries they were in. But in case they do the same here, would you guy's really be missing the pro-isreali or anti-uae sites? Or is it the pornography? They would still get the same amount of subscribers. But with regards to thier call charges, i doubt they would come in charging high amounts. They'll come in with a gimick just like glo and its per sec billing.
Has anyone notices the similarities btwn zain's new tru adverts and glo's? A guy with bling-bling with his adoring crew in the background?

Hard decision for me this Xmas:
SE Xperia or Nokia 5800 or Android G1 or Samsung OMNIA or HTC Diamond pro.

@brym: Its easier for me. Just remove all non-QWERTY devices, and all I'm left with are the XPERIA X1 and the Touch Pro.
Still not sure which it will be eventually.

Madam is a nice excuse...but let me leave her alone.
I now have internet access in the office and -if I want- at home. So, I got no excuse for being off-line these past months. I have just been busy and have not changed my phones for over a year now. Even when I do, I will but a cheap Chinese model (like a Nokia) with dual SIM, mp3, mp4 and torch light. I saw one for 10k.
I am still dreaming of the HTC Mogul from Zoom. I hope they still have it in stock. My spending on phones will never exceed 15k... so the HTC is a BIG DEAL.
@All I just came back from an Abuja-Yola-Mubi-Yola-Abuja marathon in 3 days. I am sleeping all day today.

Has anyone done this?
I want to share internet connection with two lappys via wifi. One should be in the sitting room with the phone while the other in any other room.
I have connected via a dial-up to the internet. I want to use wireless connection to browse with a second lappy. Both have wifi and I have created an "ad-hoc" home network connection between them. The lappy with vista is the one connecting to the 'net while the other is using XP. The ad-hoc network seems ok... since I see files in the XP from the vista lappy.
I know about ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) using a LAN but this one is giving me a tough time.
Anyone tried it before?

You should enable internet connection sharing (ICS) and choose your wireless connection for sharing. Allow the wireless connection from the guest laptop to get IP address via DHCP (ie automatically). I do this with my wife's starcomm's phone and our laptops once in a while and it works. |

@coola: i'm going to get you ejected from this island! How can u go for chinese? Most people that do, do it bcos of all the gadgets they have, but since they rarely use them, the phones tend to last (with no drops, spillages etc) for 6 months or so. But if u task ur phone to the hilt, it wont last 3 months.
When i tried a similar wifi connection, my problem was i ddnt properly make the phone on the modem a server while the other laptop its client/slave. As always, check online. |
