Similar to how Z was described as being a "giant iphone", Honami also looks like an Iphone without the button. The bottom has more rounded corners. No very clearly noticeable hump at the back for the camera. Doesn't APPEAR thick i.e. the design masks the thickness very well.
Front is glass. Back and sides appear to be metal, even the port flaps are metal (or appear like metal? )

No noticeable Arc either. Definitely nothing like Xperia Arc or T/TX. |

Honami is sounding better and better.
BTW, I had a chance to play with the Tablet Z today... AMAZING device. Feel is unlike any other tablet I've ever held and the screens is vibrant and life-like. Viewing angles are damned amazing too. I only had a few minutes to play with it, but it was enough to make me seriously consider replacing my Tablet S with it.
I'm gonna wait to see what VAIOs are revealed (hopefully next week) so that I can make up my mind. I still have my eye on that Duo 13. I might actually wind up getting the Duo 13 + Honami as getting the Tab Z and Honami just kinda seem redundant to some degree.
So I've now had a chance to hold and play with the Tablet Z, Xperia Z and Xperia ZL. The phones feel nice and I'm not putting them down, but Tab Z just feels next gen and superior to its peers. I hope this is what we can expect to see from Sony in the upcoming devices. If they can make Togari have the premium feel of the Tablet Z or better, it'll be an absolute winner IMO.

I wish they had kept the Omni Balance design language of the Xperia Z. So will the Honami have the now-iconic Xperia power button?
@vivftp: you should wait for the Duo 13 with that Triluminos screen.

I'm suddenly reminded of the K850, if it were bigger, thinner and buttonless.

Yes, but as I mentioned - You won't be able to tell it's significantly bigger than Z visually. |

Final (design) prototip should be decided during this month, or it may even be done, don't know for sure. There will be either slim version with a camera hump, or a slightly thicker phone overall but without the hump. Hoping for the latter.
@Ramu, thanx for the details. |
