Not really. I mean, the arc will have HDMI, DNLA, better display (we still don't know if the X10 will get 16mill colors), Bravia engine etc. Though I agree, not sure if I'm gonna bother getting the Arc now, save that money for later!
Currently NExus 4, but want Xperia ZR. |

Actually makes me think too! What are the advantages of the Arc over the X10? Camera hardly improves, a bit faster, HDMI.....
X10 should be a bargain now, hmmm...... |

Came this close ordering an arc but am very chuffed this handset isn't completely written off yet. What does it mean when SE says the camera will be stock android? Is that a very basic version? |

The x10 has come a long way since 1.6 and it seems to have 9 lives. Good job they skipped 2.2 though. Who knows what is next?? An x10 with Android 4??

It means you will got the default Android camera UI i.e. the one Google has written. Not sure how capable that UI is (but I haven't read much good about it), but settings like face recognition and smile shutter will be gone.

It's the same with Xperia Play. It's a pretty good UI though. Much faster than what's on the X10 right now for certain.

very happy about the update, but sad about losing face recognition. i actually use it a lot to organize my photos. oh well... it's a small price to pay for the upgrade i suppose. perhaps there's a 3rd party app out there that does it and if not, perhaps I can make one!

Just a thought, wondering if video and sound will be improved even more on the X10 with the Gingerbread update as nativly its better on Android 2.3 and will be the case with the DHD 2.3 update, could be the same with the X10.
