Wow Skibbe and Ricky D.You both seem to be itching
to get your hands on that Arc.Hope it lives up to your expectations.
Me,I aint touching SE again until they learn some
manners.
Just cancelled an upgrade that was due because
this phone running FreeX10 Beta 4 is good enough for
me.I did run the SE 2.1 latest update last week
but that lasted less than 24 hours and I got rid of it.
This Rom flies and I dont have battery issues. Also
Im quite pleased with the camera/camcorder.
Its quick.Click camera button and bam you ready
to start snapping.
Speed. For me that is all its about.

@Hobbs
yeah, the arc do seems great. and i know there are some better ones out there, tegra chips/dual core phones. but i am somewhat a fan boi of SE but the money is a real issue for me, depends on my next paycheck. if i don't can afford it by the launchdate i don't think i will buy it later.

My last phone was the C905, and like i said in a earlier post i am looking forward to be reunited with SE. I am hoping the Arc will not disappoint, and i have a good feeling it's going be a big success. |

My decision on buying it hangs on the feel of the quality of the silver and blue. If it isn't 99% sexy I'll leave it and wait till Christmas or whenever whatever big phone from SE is coming next.
I have a dig bick You read that wrong |

Sorry to hear/read that Skibbe, im getting excellent batt life with the ROM im using. Im the same as Hobbs when it comes to buying another SE, i doubt my next upgrade will be an SE, my next Android will probably be a Samsung, Galaxy-S II or whatever follows after it with a 2nd gen dual-core CPU, i would have said HTC but they still suck at camera, battery, RF, and design. As much as im loving my modded X10 it made me realise how much SE ruined a device that had the potential to be the best amongst competition, if they had kept it up to date it would have destroyed the Desire, Milestone, Galaxy-S etc...as the most balanced out of them all, but they themselves f*#ked up.

The only thing appealing to me about the Arc is the camera nothing else, everything else is worst than my HTC.
Hardly worth the price tag on that piece of plastic, absolute arse holes for stopping support on the X10 which was their flagship device and not that I am in any contracts but a lot of people are in 24 month contracts with no further support which I think is very bad, wouldn't expect nothing more with the Arc.

At least there's xda developers so will be able to have an identical UI to the Arc with the X10. Plus there's plenty of DNLA apps about so can have the same functionality as streaming to tv with the X10.
I honestly don't think the Arc is worth bothering with from the X10 with this in mind as its hardly an improvement.

Well its going to better than your HTC Desire HD I'm certain of that. Nothing against HTC personally as I currently own a HTC Desire myself.
I have noticed that many of your comments regarding the Arc have been of a negative nature. At least wait for it to be released and see what the feedback is like before heavily criticising this phone before its release.

Oops...think I have touched a nerve there. It's not all about build quality as you seem to think that makes the HD stand out as a better phone compared to the Arc.
At the end of the day I couldn't give a monkeys toss what you think about the Arc.

Can get a DNLA adaptor if its an older tv without DNLA, I've got a Sony Bravia NX series tv for a year now works very well streaming media without any cables onto the big screen thats with the X10 (with DNLA app), DHD and any other DNLA enabled device.
By the way DNLA is just awesome streaming HD movies to your tv from home networked hard drive or pc.
