@ da brixsta,
LOL, I gathered that that was possibly what she was trying to do; it was just funny the way it was captured.

@ Kryptik,
Hei I remember Karl Kikilus. Interestingly, and in perhaps contrast music-wise, his toppie was some hotshot boeremusiek orkes leader, Taffie Kikilus. (not sure about spelling.)
If we really go back in time to SABC early days, you might remember Pop Shop with David Gresham: "Keep your feet on the ground and reach for the stars."

lol, i indeed remember Pop Shop and Mr.Gresham who now has his own record label, if i'm not mistaken.

It's odd how memory can play tricks sometimes. I can sometimes recall with total clarity a conversation held years ago over something totally irrelevant, yet i can't recall which colour trousers i wore on Monday...

Yup, I can relate to that all too well.
To take a line from another SA classic, namely Jamie Uys's The Gods Must Be Crazy: "It's an interesting psychological phenomenon..."

Anywayz, I stuck my nose into a few mobile phone shops yesterday, and interestingly the white W810i has been so popular that both the local Phones4U and Orange shop have completely sold out of them. Just checked Orange's online shop and they're sold out there too.

SO my quick stop by while i can...Dial-up sucks....

Medusa, thanx for that link...checking it out...slowly...on this slower than slow connection...

You know what sucks, when registering for the above, they did not allow me to choose my phone, the W900i....So what can I say? I got the S700i? All I could do, since the K800i was missing as well...

In other news (Imagine me like Riaan Cruywagen doing the news, looking all old tv days...*Got more to say about this...) my friend/boss Paul is sticking with Cell C, upgraded to the N80 (Which was one of my considerations) yesterday. Nice little phone. Feature rich. Dull colours and menus, and overkill in options and where to find it. He should get the hang of it soon though. Will check it out more over the next few weeks.

We kept the cell C ladies out in the shop till well after 7, trying to get the upgrade done. Nice atmosphere....All of us, the staff, the clients, everyone was just talking about phones, what they got, showing off, ect. Some little kid got himself a D900...wow..that is tiny! Not too fond of the menus and those suches...never been...like my SE;-)

Anyway, my friend ran around for about an hour or two, me supporting him after some chaotic Christmas shopping, trying to find where he could get a I-mate or HTC or something...No luck, so that is why he settled for the N80...He would have liked the TyTn though. He has a 400 Business thing...whatever it is...he still had to pay in for the phones...R1000-R2000
(Depending, Cell C, or Vodacom on similar contracts)

Anyway, about that Riaan Cruywagen, a recent survey on MK89.co.za asked who you would like to have their own show on the Music Channel...Riaan Cruywagen beat Chris Camelion and a few others hands down in that one. The young people that grew up the last 20 or so years still remembers him, and they like him. Funny what sticks in your mind.

Oh yeah, MK89 is sort of a Afrikaans Young music channel. They are doing a lot for the rock industry i must say. They play any cool music, english, afrikaans(urgh!) and a range of international. They don't cater for the Channel O market though, since that is covered. I am glad this is happening though, just means more variety.

I am trying to get that app through http://www.wapsilon.com/ ...a wap browser that is online...

So I have been working crap hard, will so the beginning of the new year as well. Hope to be more full time soon enough.

Quick question: where can I find Cell C's pricing structures? My net is too slow to wait for anything.

And if I don't get to post again soon, merry Christmas!

C'mon guys it's quite obvious...Wacko Jacko is the only person who's had more facelifts then old Riaan Cruywagen

@francois: I'm amazed at people who get like a top-of-the-line phone from a network that does not even offer 3G.

PS: There are some really hot chicks at work...If you've just come back from a six month stint in Antartica my office is the last place you need to visit.

Right *taps microphone, clears throat*

It's just after 9pm, gifts have been wrapped, and the kids, both small and big, are settling down to wait for midnight. It's at this time that i'd like to wish all my Esato friends, both local and abroad, a most blessed and peaceful Xmas, regardless of whether you celebrate it or not. May the day hold only joy and peace for you and yours, especially those of you who are spending this time away from loved ones. Have fun, give thanx for blessings received, and don't over-indulge.

Here endeth the message

ps. To my buddy Deluded, so it's already Xmas in Singapore. I trust that Santa delivered those goodies that you mentioned, and that you and your folks and sis have a fantastic day

I'm k@k sad this morning, one of my all-time favourite music heroes passed away in the early hours.

By no means perfect, James Brown knew how to rock a crowd...sad thing is I never got to see him live.

BTW Merry Christmas to all those amongst us celebrating the holiday.

Damn, that really is sad news, Brix. He was my dad's namesake and also one of his favourites.
