Why is this not a sticky? We will need to come back here to take a look at future fm revisions rather than someone starting yet another new thread.

@Hamlau,thanks for the suggestion but if we had sticky threads for everything that members asked for we'd have so many that you wouldn't be able to see the wood for the trees and the benefit of sticky would be lost

this thread actually gets a mention in our main faq thread (which I know needs a little updating before anyone says anything ) which is sticky at the top of the SE general discussions forum

that thread is the "Answers to the most common questions on Esato Forums (FAQ style)"

and, of course, you can bookmark the topic yourself too

@ masseur

I've been a member since December 2004 and I didn't know about the bookmark feature! [addsig]

Wow! I also didn;t know about the bookmark feature! You learn something new every day.

Personally I would quite like the Firmware Overview threads made sticky too, as this information is the essence of the Software Forum and people have requested them to be made sticky a number of times.

Having said that, I am very biased, as I made them all .

Additionally I think only Laffen can actually make the threads sticky ... I don't think even Masseur has that ability (which, incidentally, I think he should have!).

My operator recommends on their site against installing the current SEUS firmware.

However, my 05W25 replacement phone from SE came preinstalled with R1J002.

Oh well, I don't use GPRS anyway (although testing it, it seems to work fine).

Guess I was a bit too quick saying that - hadn't seen what exact problems people had (figured it was enough to just reach the bookmarks page, since you can't do that with no GPRS profile) - and didn't know there were problems with MMS too. Sure enough, GPRS and MMS won't work on my network either anymore.

This is the last time I send anything whatsoever back for replacement. All I have gotten out of it is one week of waiting for a new phone, after which the problem (blur) isn't solved, and GPRS and MMS stop working. In short, got a phone worse than the one I had before... That's service.

A guy in a Norwegian forum posted that fw R1N005 is out on the service center's this morning. Lets hope it finds its way to the SEUS soon.. or for all I know it can be there already.

He also says that W800i fw R1K005 runs just fine on K750i.

Didn't EUROPE_4 come the day after when they updates last time?

Well, at last we know something is happening.

Klorin:

If you are referring to when SEUS came online, then I was able to update my phone immediately to R1J002.
