Has anyone found these?
I have K700i with vodafone f/w.
I have found following text labels in K700i service menu.
"Memory stick write protected, cannot edit files"
"Please insert memory stick or select save to phone in camera setting"
"Memory stick not formatted"
"Memory stick not inserted"

Does this mean that memory stick was supposed to be supported in K700i?

@milind_001

No. All SE phones share almost the same set of text labels.

I am so pissed off right now.

Have done many updates with SEUS before. Just ran an update there now. It said update complete. All good right?

Typed in my PIN.. the screen went white and flashed, then flashed again, then switched off. It does this every time. I've removed the battery, SIM, tried a different SIM, tried recovery, tried a re-update, none of which work. I wish I could try an older update again. Anyway, I've sent an email to SE, looks like my phone is screwed, so I await a reply. Can they do anything for me? :S

It was an unbranded phone, and I was using an O2 sim in it. Thank god for old Nokias for now...

In reference to my previous post, I had to recover, and then reflash my phone with Da Vinci. I picked the T firmware rather than Y just to be on the safe side. Its all tip top now, and I've got rid of the shutter sound (thanks da vinci!) Unfortunately it cost me £7 tho

Upgraded to R2AY004 on SEUS. Orange UK branded phone. Anyone else seeing that the call cost menu (call timers, sms and mms counters) is missing from settings?

Am I losing my mind? Anyone have any clues what's happening here?

I'm having a problem with the DSS25 being recognised, I installed the DSS driver for the P900 from the SE site, and I installed the seus_setup119.exe

When I get to the Terms and Conditions, it says 'No Syncstation found!' and has two buttons for 'Try again' and 'Cancel'

What have I done wrong???

edit: got it working, now have r2ay004

R2AY004 solved all my problems. I bought an unlocked K700i with firmware R2AE033 about 5 weeks ago. Whenever I connected my Palm Zire 72 or Tungsten T5 to the Internet via bluetooth on my K700i, the phone would freeze after I would disconnect the bluetooth on my PDAs. I also had a hissing sound sometimes on phone calls. I sent the phone to the Sony Ericsson Service center for repair in North Carolina (USA) one day after I received my K700i from BestPriceAudioVideo.com (online retailer). I got the K700i back a week later stating that "my problem could not be duplicated" but a "firmware upgrade was given" (for free). Since then, the phone has worked like a charm in every respect. And I use all aspects of this phone.

The K700i is the best reception and best phone I've ever had.

Isn't the Opera Minibrowser outrageous? Much better than Webpro or Blazer on my Palms! I think Palm is going to get hurt big time from Opera mini!!!!

PS Sorry, but I originally posted this in the wrong forum.

Sucks, still get this message:

"Your device is not permitted to use this service

Your operator does not approve the usage of this service for this device.
We look forward to assist you again soon.
Thank you for using Sony Ericsson Update Service!"

ok, some of you guys may have heard about this by now, question is, when are we going to see this feature enabled in a new firmware update for K700i (assuming we need an update)? Can someone elaborate on exactly how this new standard works?

Well Fluffy, Im happy to say that you are not going out of your mind !!

I have also done the update my self and lost the call timers too and im on Orange.

Its pointless is emailing SE as i will prob know what they will write before hand. It will be something like blah blah blah blah. Regards xxxxx

We will just have to hope for the next update.

Oh well back to me K750i

It's possibly orange-specific then. Worth a call to customer suport to see if they're aware of owt. I'll report back once I've (got around to it and) done it.

Thanks.
