I'm wondering if store demos get it because they leave that demo running all the time and it eventually ghosts the screen??? I use the glance background which changes positions and helps reduce the possibility of this (I hope)

SGS5 has very good colours composition, and they manage to keep the saturation ok. To me, it takes better photos than the washed out-yellowish crap taken by the 1020.

In my experience the S5 has the best camera on any Samsung phone i would like to try the 1020 for comparison but I am a happy Android camper

If I had to recommend a "modern smartphone" today based on camera capabilities it would be either the 1520 or the GS5.. the gs5 does very well in good conditions, and the video IQ is way better than the 1520.
The 1020 is underpowered overall.. that camera module really needs snap800 on WP. |

sorry but none of the photos that you posted (taken with Lumia 1020) are supporting this statement. |

You know we only post the better photos. Would you believe me if i tell you sometimes I have to take 10 photos, just to realize the one of them is the good one. Thats the case. Not that the 1020 takes awesome photos. Plus that 4 seconds delay... arghh

There is a difference between taking awesome photos and saying that GS5 takes better photos than lumia 1020 though. None of the photos that I saw of GS5 are better than the ones taken by lumia 1020 both daylight and especially low light |

You also have to keep in mind that "some" people out there are too ignorant to really understand true photo QUALITY and simply believe whatever crap they read on the internet. It (IMO) is a very VERY small group of us that without bias can really see past all this and truly appreciate what Nokia has done with this device as well the 808.

How am i supposed to appreciate the "downgrade" Nokia made with the 1020 (from a 808 user perspective) ???
the 1020 to me is p.o.s., I felt cheated buying hardware from 2012 at premium 2014 prices. The only difference between the 1020 and the Lumia 920 is the camera and 1GB extra of ram.
The photos are not any good (compared to the 808 and color wise, to the SGS5). At first, I thought it was me, at the end ALL photos for good or for worse has that yellowish tint.
No wonder why Damian Dining left the company. Jukka stole his place IMHO and didn't do a better job.
