Who is saying the Auto mode is better in the original driver?
I see one person saying this.. and I see no proof in the pictures posted that the original driver is better in AUTO mode.

I could take 2 pictures back to back with the same driver, and they will come out different like the pictures posted above.
Its very hard to take comparison shots when holding the camera in your hand, with no tripod, and just shooting a random image.
Its not a controlled environment, meaning that every single picture you take will look different depending on the exact distance, lighting at the time, and precise angle of the camera.

I am not convinced the original driver is better in AUTO mode based on the pictures posted here.

well, dear jake, i really dont care what you think. i am not here to argue with you. i just told my opinion, you can tell what is yours without trying to be smart ass.

I think Jake made a good point about having to have a controlled environment.
Also there is a trade off between trying to get a sharper picture and noise.

I am not being a smart ass.. i am only saying that I have not seen enough evidence to say that the original driver takes better pictures on AUTO than CBE 6.5.. and I stated my reasons why you cannot make a conclusion based solely on the pictures that have been posted here recently.

i am sorry you interpreted it as me being a "smart ass"

Guys, no hard words

if anyone thinks that the original driver has a better auto mode, he is welcome to use it

Just today morning i was comparing original camdriver with CBE 7.0 and the original lags in quality and detail.

I can also post example shots when free.

Although i do not think that this driver produces more noise compared to original, i shall look into the matter and implement noise reduction through any way

well, i am using original driver for while...and i like colors i get better than with cs6.5... i hate color correction

cs6.5 is far more superior than original, i made some brilliant photos with it...but for point and shot, i prefer original for now...

i hope witchking dont get me wrong, your driver is better for making professional photos, there is no doubt cann't wait for 7.0...

@ zeeje
I had already made this mod, you'll see it in v 7.0
...
@ dobrizmaj
You can turn colour correction off it needed, but colour correction improves the picture.
Anyway, if you think the original is better at point and shoot, it's your opinion. I have tested it umpteenth time.

Infact, colour correction is NOT used when flash works.

Colour correction is used when you use Auto flash outside in HIGH LIGHTING CONDITIONS where flash is not necessary

In low light when flash has to be used, colour correction is turned off before flash fires.

got it?

i made some sample shots for me some time ago( in my dorm where flash has to be used because lights are low) with original and 6.5, and colors are really not good with 6.5, and this is especially visibly on pictures taken in my room (brown colors are 100% wrong). i was getting similar results with dm's driver when color corrections was on. that's reason i thought color correction is on, colors are wrong with auto flash and forced flash

anyway, thank u for your explanation and patience to read my posts

maybe i am not using driver the right way...

or maybe my room is special environment
