If you ask yourself why do i ask so ... 5 years ago I bought myself a sony MP3 the NW-HD3 (see picture) ,it was ok, I thought so cos i did not have anything to copare it with. few month later I got my W800i...and it's walkman part was much better the mine Sony MP3 player, not only the sound but also the volume was 3-4 steps higher,my phone took it's place..
what I am asking is how is the sound of your Aino compare to the MP3 player, can he also take the place of your player?

2 & 3. Unfortunately I have no playlists or lengthy media files on mine just yet, so I can't test this right now.
Perhaps someone else will help you but if not, I will try to tomorrow if I get a chance.

With the two to three minute long music files I currently have on mine, touching the progress bar to fast forward is completely instant so I doubt there will be any problems, but I will try to find out anyway. The touchscreen side of the phone is very responsive and fast.

I can confirm that you can shuffle a playlist & Fast forward in touch works like a charm in media menu, music or video whateva

Nice phone, not sure wether i can buy this, the phone is overpriced to the max. The aino is £360 and the Satio is £400, only £40 difference, not really worth buying the aino when i can the Satio which (specs wise) is wayyy better, what do you think i should go for?

It is actually the Satio which is underpriced and the other way round. The aino is priced perfect IMO. Satio, sim-free is 100 pounds more.

Thanks for all the replies, There really isn't much wrong with this phone is there?

Only 2 more (simple) questions

1. Does the Aino have Mass Storage Mode? ie Windows recognises it automatically and installs it

2. Can you answer a phone call/hang up a phone call by sliding the phone open/shut?

Almost. It's the NW-X1050 and that's the 16GB.

It definitely could for many people, and you'll find it is miles a head of the W800i. For me it probably wouldn't because mobile phones never quite match mp3 players for sound quality, which is what I'm after. Most people probably wouldn't mind though.

1. Yes it does.

2. Yes you can. You have the option to disable or enable this if you want to. You can also answer calls using the touch screen.

Thanks, I am completely inexperienced with A200 so I need to check everything before I make a mistake and buy a phone I know nothing about

One (well, two) last question for me regarding the Alarms

I read that A200 supports 5 alarms with each being able to be set for multiple days, recurrences etc individually (ie I can have 3 alarms with one set for 7:30 on 3 days of the week, another set for 6:30 on 2 days of the week and another one at 6:00 on 2 days of the week for example)

A good alarm is a very important feature for me and this is one area where my 5800 does not disappoint, it allows unlimited alarms but I don't need that many (although the setup I have above requires 7 different entries in my phone)

Would someting like the setup above be possible on the Aino? and when it goes off can you use the touchscreen or do you have to slide the phone open to turn it off?

Yes, you can do that, but I think it's still limited to 5 entries.

You can have the 5 different alarms with Aino and it can be controlled using the touchscreen. You have a snooze button or an alarm off button. The alarm off button is a 'touch slider' much like keylock on an iPhone so you can't accidentally turn your alarm off.

Does Aino support Flash animation as start up image?
The best mobile phone brand died with Sony Ericsson's death. Shame on you Sony for killing it! And, of course, for ruining the Xperia brand...
