Well, I'd personally LOVE the K800i pictures. 3.2 MP doesn't make me want to go back to 2MP! Alast, we can't have everything in life. lol, imagining the name: W1000i! It doesn't sound right, I think they will make, like a sub-series inside the W-Walkman series, like the WX500 or something...

in anticipation for the K790/800 which i'll own this summer i hope .. i want to start going through my photos and cropping them up for photo caller id images .. can anyone suggest a good size? I know the screen is 320x240, but the image wont be shown full screen .. so can anyone suggest a size?

As far as the whole mem. issue goes it won't be supporting the old cards either via the adaptor as that is for your PC and not for the fone.
Internal mem. of the K800i is 84mb along with a supplied M2 card which will either be of 64/512mb.
The reason to switch over to the new M2 cards was for added space in the fone as with newer models space is required for newer stuff to be added as well, so you have to shrink whatever you can to accomodate it so you get a sleek little baby in the end or you could go for a brick inline with Nokia's pathetic design's.

This was inline as next yr SE would be releasing there 5Mpx camera fone which naturally would be requiring more space along with 3X optical zoom and digital zoom.
And to note that SE's smartphones will be having video rec. of QVGA or VGA at 30Fps as they have kept proper video rec. for the smartphones now as well. So all high end phones basically. The mid high end phones might have it later on. So if you want DVD quality rec. get an SE smartphone... !!!
As well 26th June is the release date for the K800i globally. Check with your operators then as to when they will start giving it to you as they usually are pathetically slow.
So like ladies, ... you gotta think ahead to the future and not be embodied in the present and past.

Dont know if anyone else has seen a k790 in real life, but my friend who works for SE had one over this weekend.
The camera is even better than i expected. Really vivid colours and the quality is supurb!
The screen is the best ive ever seen on a phone too. Could have helped make the pictures look as good as they did.
Even the flash is as good on a proper camera.
I didnt really play with much else, but the menus look good too. Again, probably down to the screen!
Think he has to give it back so i wont get a chance for a proper play just yet. But its looking good... |
