Hi guys,
Well, I have my Macbook for almost 4 months now and unfortunately I'm having some troubles with it...
What you have to know for starters, it's 2 Ghz version with 1 gig RAM and 80 gig HDD. Also, since the beginning I always use AppZapper for uninstall unwanted apps.
Anyway, the problem is, I think my mac geting slower and slower from day to day. Sometimes, when I open apps, takes long and I see the little ballon or whatever it is spining more often. I think I managed to learn as much as pos about my new system and done much about the problem, but no luck at all.
Some things to explain:
Nothing automatically starts up at restart. I have checked it.
I have 7 gigs free on the HDD which should be enough.
Never have many apps open at the same time, not even many tabs in Safari and no flash pages. Old windows habit... Most of the times, I have Mail, Safari, iTunes, Quicktime and the Dashboard.
If I check the Activity Monitor everything is seems fine except Safari 3.0.3 has about 280 mb's memory in use.
I have repaired the HDD permisions twice in a week.
So, I don't know. I think I have a perfectly maintained mac, but something still not right.
And there is one more thing driving me crazy! I love coverflow, especially on my flat screen, but it's very very chopy, when I scroll from album to album. Even when I switch from Coverflow to back to normal.
Last thing: Frontrow. In the last couple of days, I'm having trouble exit from it. It takes minutes to get me back to desktop.
So, that's all really. Any ideas?
Thanks a lot in advance!

Personally this seems to be a problem more with 10.4.10 update, and so you are not alone. I think a good way to always monitor if its a problem with your account is to create a seperate account in sys pref and then test out a few things in there...if its running slow as well then you know its probably OSX. If its moving like lightning then somewhere along the line OSX has turned into windows (best way I can describe it) and might be time for a reinstall...remember sometimes its the intel and ppc apps cause this..
I know this doesnt help as much but I really point it to the 10.4.10 update

Well to answer the easiest problem right clicking is done by pressing CTRL AND CLICKING ON YOUR MOUSE.
To the more difficult part, if turn the mac off and then restart it this is going to sound crazy but depending which direction the cd slot is side or front face the cd slot to the ground and keep pressin eject whilst its starting, so basically man handle it...sometimes dvd+r\\w etc are too thick so yeah just play around making gravity help you.

To right-click, just set the secondary mouse button up in the Keyboard & Mouse system preferences pane. You can then right-click by clicking the right mouse button as you would on a PC.
To eject a CD, restart while holding down the left mouse button.

Backing up to a memory stick is simple just plug and play nothing fancy to be done, you might want to purchase an external HDD for larger backups and get ready for leopard.

Is it a CD-R with a label on? Just wondering why the disk starts to come out but then goes back in. Sounds like the sort of thing that can happen if a label starts unpeeling inside the Mac.
Try this:
Restart the computer and hold down: Cmd+Option+O+F
(Cmd+Option are the two keys to the left of the space bar)
The computer will boot into what looks like DOS.
Then type in the terminal box:
eject CD and press return

it just does the same as ejecting the cd
could there be another cd stuck inside? this is one that my dads workers have been using (oh and i did press eject before putting the cd in )
the thing is this thing is only a week old so maybee a fault with the cd tray thingy?
